I just downloaded DAO through galaxy and during the installation process it showed a sign, "moving," for 2 hours already. AND it's still at 85%.

It actually takes longer than the time it needs to be downloaded.

Is it always this slow? I think it would be faster just using the old method to download from gog...

Nope, it's usually not even close to being that slow.

Weird, I've just reinstalled galaxy and it's simply this slow. Last time I downloaded DAO it was faster but it just showed an error and checking cache doesn't fix it.

This time with the super slow moving it makes the game work, but just takes way too long. No idea what's going on here. :? Anyway, time to play DAO. :P

Maybe it's something specific to DAO's packaging? I even recently downloaded Witcher 3 through Galaxy (over 30+ GBs) and it only took some minutes to move the folder after the download was complete.

sounds really weird ^^ - but well most importantly the game runs now ;) and you could consider this a weekly test of patience :P. Got Dragon Age + Galaxy as well - might investigate on the weekend if it's the same for me
