[EDIT: September 9th, 2pm GMT]

Update 1.1 to the GOG Galaxy beta is now available for everyone! Enjoy the new features and remember to submit your feedback in the dedicated GOG Galaxy Beta forum thread and report any bugs at mantis.gog.com.

Rollback, friend search, pausing downloads, and more in the biggest update yet.

Have you tried the GOG Galaxy beta yet? This is an awesome chance to jump on board. Our DRM-free online gaming platform has already been tested by so many of you we can barely count, and today we're ready to roll out the first major patch with new features and plenty of quality of life optimizations.

Update 1.1 to the GOG Galaxy beta will bring the anticipated Rollback feature, allowing you to restore your game to prior states with just a single click. Game updates are now not only optional, but also reversible.

The weeks following our GOG Galaxy-powered release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt were a chance for the team to collect feedback and to work on perfecting the Client while addressing many of your top feature requests. The newest 1.1 update includes much-requested improvements to the friend system (making it easier to find and invite friends), pausing & resuming downloads, extended pre-installation options with more ways to configure your games, and an improved app UI and navigation. The entire client will now be more resource-friendly while also becoming faster.

The 1.1 update is available today for everyone enrolled to receive preview updates through GOG Galaxy, but it will also be rolling out very soon to the entire userbase. Those of you eager to test out the announced improvements today, can simply navigate to your GOG Galaxy settings screen and select the option to “Receive preview updates”.

To download the client and read about what’s new and improved in update 1.1, visit www.gog.com/galaxy. Make sure to subscribe to the preview updates to try them out yourself, and as always, you can submit your problems and find new solutions on the dedicated GOG Galaxy Beta forum thread.

Johny.: Yes. And - it's working on friends page right now! ;)
See the attached image to see how my friends page looks since May 22 (more than 3 months). I have reported this multiple times. Do you plan to fix it?

Yes, I agree cloud save should be at the very very top on the list of things to add.

Dalthnock: Guys, guys, GUYS!

Cloud. Save.

Please!

As someone who's got computers spread out everywhere I go, cloud save contributes a lot to my mental peace.

What can I do to make that little thing a priority? Money is no object. Well, provided it doesn't come into play.

So, yeah. Cloud save, please. You can do it, I know you can. I'll be here supporting you every step of the way.

Saving in the cloud, what a concept.

Just in case it's not clear, I'd really, really, really like it if there was cloud save.

Thank you.

EDIT: Quoted someone unintentionally.
In the meantime you can try GameSave Manager in conjunction with your favorite cloud storage service (i.e. Dropbox, Google Drive, SkyDrive), it works wonderfully.
Yes I agree very very much cloud save should be on the top of the list of things to add to Galaxy.
Definitely noticing the performance improvements. Thanks GOG!
Is Rollback also available for standalone installer and on the site? Otherwise is not a great accomplishment.

That's why most people back up their offline installers and, thus, can roll back at any time :)

Will we be able to download old installers through the website and if not: why?

It's same with me. Although, qpon from GOG's support was really helpful and friendly. But it still not solved. I guess devs are clueless why and how this problem appears.

We've always replaced the old installers whenever a new version of an offline installer was uploaded. If you seriously need an older installer, let us know :)

Thanks, but GameSave manager failed the test on both Dragon Age: Origins & Flashback. I threw those two games at it for a reason, by the way.

And I already use SkyDrive, all the saves from games that use the My Documents folder are uploaded automatically. SkyDrive, by the way, passed the Dragon Age: Origins test with flying colours.

But not all games use that folder, & it's a one way street, as the other computers I use are not for my use exclusively.

Thanks for the tip, though. It's good advice. I should know. ;)

In my case, I have explained to them the exact sequence of events that led to it (briefly, I rejected a friends request from a scammer at almost the same time that GOG revoked that scammer's account). Frankly, I will be surprised if a developer has even looked at the matter. As a programmer with many years of experience, I can pretty much assure you this is not the kind of bug that should take months to resolve, especially since it is perfectly reproducible.

summitus: Thanks , is there a list of which games have Achievements ? Can't wait to get my first GOG Achievement ! :)
avatar
Grargar: Here is a GOGmix. You can also add the recently-released Grandia 2 to the list.
Grandia 2 has been included on release. It's in the middle of the list. The games aren't in order; they are ranked roughly by their "achievement-dependent" content, the estimated value to a player who is a fan of achievements and a completionist.

It's the same for me, but I don't even recall rejecting anyone.

Seems like I missed it.

So far I know of four people who suffer from this. I am the only one associating it with a reject, so I may well be wrong. Still, I believe GOG could have figured it by now, if they had looked into it.
