[EDIT: September 9th, 2pm GMT]

Update 1.1 to the GOG Galaxy beta is now available for everyone! Enjoy the new features and remember to submit your feedback in the dedicated GOG Galaxy Beta forum thread and report any bugs at mantis.gog.com.

Rollback, friend search, pausing downloads, and more in the biggest update yet.

Have you tried the GOG Galaxy beta yet? This is an awesome chance to jump on board. Our DRM-free online gaming platform has already been tested by so many of you we can barely count, and today we're ready to roll out the first major patch with new features and plenty of quality of life optimizations.

Update 1.1 to the GOG Galaxy beta will bring the anticipated Rollback feature, allowing you to restore your game to prior states with just a single click. Game updates are now not only optional, but also reversible.

The weeks following our GOG Galaxy-powered release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt were a chance for the team to collect feedback and to work on perfecting the Client while addressing many of your top feature requests. The newest 1.1 update includes much-requested improvements to the friend system (making it easier to find and invite friends), pausing & resuming downloads, extended pre-installation options with more ways to configure your games, and an improved app UI and navigation. The entire client will now be more resource-friendly while also becoming faster.

The 1.1 update is available today for everyone enrolled to receive preview updates through GOG Galaxy, but it will also be rolling out very soon to the entire userbase. Those of you eager to test out the announced improvements today, can simply navigate to your GOG Galaxy settings screen and select the option to “Receive preview updates”.

To download the client and read about what’s new and improved in update 1.1, visit www.gog.com/galaxy. Make sure to subscribe to the preview updates to try them out yourself, and as always, you can submit your problems and find new solutions on the dedicated GOG Galaxy Beta forum thread.

Wurzelkraft: Does Galaxy still download the uncompressed game files instead of the compressed installers that you get when downloading via browser? If it does: Fix it. There are still people with bandwidth caps out there and there is generally no good reason to let all of the Galaxy users download more data than they should. After all it puts unnecessary load on your servers, too. :>
thats complete rubbish

summitus: Good to hear , but when the heck are we going to get Achievements ?

JudasIscariot: They've been there for a while :) It depends on whether the game had them built in or not :)
Thanks , is there a list of which games have Achievements ? Can't wait to get my first GOG Achievement ! :)

I don't have a list on hand but the recent Crypt of the NecroDancer has achievements as do Dead Synchronicity,Witcher 2 and 3 :)

Here is a GOGmix. You can also add the recently-released Grandia 2 to the list.

Yes there have been a few games which "have" achievements. But there aren't unlocking... for example Witcher 2, Tales from borderlands... Only achievements I was able to get on galaxy were those for Witcher 3.

Only thing I can recommend at this point is to file a bug report on our Mantis GOG Galaxy bug tracker regarding the achievements, if you haven't done so already :)
Thanks for the update, hope there will be a download speed limit soon.

Thanks for the reply. As what I have read on the forums here since achievements are greyed out in the settings a lot of people think that this is on yours to do list. But little bug report cannot hurts i guess :D

EDIT: I checked Mantis tracker and there are several reports about it. So no need to create more duplicities. i just add a comment there :)

Are there any plans to give older games achievements? That would kick ass >>!
So, has this thing stopped caching on the C: drive yet?

There will be achievements coming into some already released titles, but with every such case it requires developer to implement them in the first place (as achievements depend on game logic) so it's not something trivial or a thing that we can do ourselves.
Guys, guys, GUYS!

Cloud. Save.

Please!

As someone who's got computers spread out everywhere I go, cloud save contributes a lot to my mental peace.

What can I do to make that little thing a priority? Money is no object. Well, provided it doesn't come into play.

So, yeah. Cloud save, please. You can do it, I know you can. I'll be here supporting you every step of the way.

Saving in the cloud, what a concept.

Just in case it's not clear, I'd really, really, really like it if there was cloud save.

Thank you.

EDIT: Quoted someone unintentionally.

We've optimised our storage a bit and should take less space but it's still located on the main drive.
This solution is of course not final, more improvements will be made in future updates.
