So I'm going through add/remove programs and I notice the GOG Galaxy in there. The program is 89.2MB in size.

I never downloaded this. Anyone want to explain WTF it's doing on my computer? And has anyone else run into this issue?

Did you install AvP or The Witcher Adventure Game? They (and maybe other games) came with a cut down pre release of galaxy to enable multiplayer.

Actually yes, I did get AvP...so that explains it! So much for my grand conspiracy theories of GOG trying to take over the word and all. :)

No problem :)

It should be safe to remove as far as I remember, I think AvP was updated to not need it... Although that may only be if you installed the full galaxy client or something like that.
