Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

I usually make a back up of my GOG games download on a remote on USB keys. However one of my key was recently damaged and I decided to download some games from my libraries again.

I tried to use the Galaxy Client v 1.0.2.958, but I can't find a way to queue several games at once for download during the night. Once I have launched a download (with the get backup option) and try to add another one, the Galaxy client feel very slow and unresponsive, while the waiting icon keep turning.

In the end I used the old GOG downloader which easily allow to queue multiple download.

I wonder if it was as the Galaxy client is supposed to work (for now) or if it an issue?
would be nice if you guys included the ability to pause downloads. I have to kill Galaxy whenever I want to pause a download.

deadfloat: How about fixing the major issue of not being able to pause/resume a download?
avatar
BKGaming: How how about understanding it's a damn beta and it's in progress, features aren't added in an hour... Jeez. Exit and resume on start-up until then.
If I start the Witcher 3 install through Galaxy and then log out of Galaxy, it says The Witcher 3 install has failed. If I log back in, I have to start the install from the beginning again. I see that if you close Galaxy without logging out that it will resume the download, but that is lame. That also poses another issue of Galaxy retaining the session even when I exit from the "Show Hidden Icons" button and reboot the computer. You seem to be overly forgiving for a function that should have been there from the start.

Its a long thread so apologies if this has been asked (or more likely user error).

Having just downloaded 20GB of Wasteland and gone with the default setup in Galaxy I had to uninstall it as it defaulted to an almost full C:\ SSD . Reinstalling it from the client saw it downloading the game again. Is this how its meant to work? Shouldn't it reinstalled from the files in the download location?

Don't log out... go down to the Galaxy symbol in the taskbar after you click the red "X" and then right click -> exit, the download should pick up again when you restart Galaxy assuming there is no issues.

Granted this isn't the best solution but is should work...
Your link for suggestion did not work on the first post. But youtube videos on the app dont have the option to be full screen.
Did they mention if people will be able to display their gameslist either in client or on the website? (like the wishlist thing).

Mentioning the website as well since it seems just as much in beta as the client these days.

guynamedbilly: Galaxy is using 25% of my cpu at all times even when nothing is downloading/installing/running. I have a huge amount of games installed through it, 982 according to Galaxy. I'm using a 3570k so it's not a terribly weak CPU or anything.

Is this something that will be corrected or is it simply impossible to use Galaxy with so many games installed?
I have that problem too. The other day, I was showing my friend GTA V on PC, and he said it looked great, but it lagged too much. I thought it was a bad update or something, turns out I left Galaxy running in the background. It made the game lag like crazy. I closed out of it, everything started running smooth again.

It's just something to deal with when playing games. If you're playing a Steam game, close Origin, uPlay, GOG Galaxy, everything except Steam. Do that for every game you play. Same for a GOG game, close everything non Galaxy. Not just the window, fully close it out.
When I'm importing games that I had downloaded and installed previously, Galaxy's not installing them again is it? Because I'd hate to waste space on redundant games.

deadfloat: Hey,

I uninstalled Galaxy from Control Panel > Programs and Features > Galaxy.
It did not remove the folder GOG.com from C:\ProgramData\GOG.com
Had to remove it manually.
Where are you installing the Galaxy Client and where are your GOG games installed.
avatar
Dschayson: I used the Control Panel too and deleted C:\ProgramData\GOG.com manually the last times.
I do have 2 hard-drives, one for windows and other programms and one for gaming and data.
Both, Galaxy and all Games are located on the latter. (The same goes for my laptop).
At this very moment i have no GOG games installed.

Example:
D:\Games\GOG.com\GalaxyClient
D:\Games\GOG.com\AnyGOG-GameThatMightCome
Maybe try replicating how it is installed on your laptop.
Try turning off firewall/anti virus etc.

In C:\ProgramData\GOG.com does it populate with all these logs:

ClientHelper.log
ClientServiceInstallation.log
CommunicationService.log
CommunicationServiceInstallation.log
GalaxyClient.log
GalaxyClientService.log
GalaxyUpdater.log

Balcora: Seems to have issues with imported version of gog.com games you already have installed from before for some reason. I had 4 games installed and 3 of em won't lauch via galaxy even tho it says its installed. Play is not green and won't work at all. But worked fine on Carmageddon Max pack.

Edit: Restarted Galaxy and they all work fine now for some reason.
Thank you for this. I had the same issue and didn't think to just restart the program. As you said, everything worked like a charm after that.
Hi, I don't know if it's Galaxy related or just a general GoG issue, but i tried to install WC Prophecy, and it stop at 99% with 1mb to go, and won't complete.
Tried aborting and deleting the folder and downloading again, but the same thing happened.
Has been like this for 2 days now..
Any ideas?

I have the EXACT problem with downloading Witcher 3. After initial burst download it's been stuck on 99.x% - and has been extremely slowly downloading the remaining 1% (< 100MB).

Suffice to say that I've managed to re-download over 5.5GB of Witcher 3 using the Downloader while the GOG Galaxy managed to download measly 10MB or so.
