Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

Lebostein: I can't install games with the galaxy 1.0.1.912 Mac OS. "Out of disk space" but I have 40 GB free and I want to install a 0.5 GB game...
I've reported this as bug ID 0001818 here, maybe you can append your comment to that bug report, too? I hope this will get developer attention and a fix soon, because it is a big blocker bug!
I just installed the galaxy client, it is showing version 1.01.917.

Whenever I open it, it pops up "gog galaxy is updating" (50mb download).

After closing the application (btw I'd like a one click close IN THE APP not my taskbar) and trying to open it again I get either another 50mb download or a 2.9mb download that is followed by a "there was a problem updating, you can always get the latest version from gog.com/galaxy".

I have my antivirus off, set the client (and all other exe's in the gog galaxy install folder) to run as an admin, and still get the issue.
Attachments:
One of my installed (directly by Galaxy) games continues to state "Not Yet Played" despite playing it several times now
- Namely Saints Row 2

I've only a handful of other games installed or imported but all those other ones (in both situations) correctly display information regarding when last played. it's just Saints Row 2 that has this problem (so far) for me

(Admittedly this is a very minor, almost non-problem) but thought it might help to let the team know
I checked the list of known bugs in the OP but disclaimer - I haven't trawled through the other 41 pages of this thread to check whether anyone else posted anything similar (particularly as it's midnight and I need to be up early tomorrow)

The latest version of Galaxy is 1.0.1.917 but you may still missing something. Try forcing update manually. Close the client (make sure is actually closed, not minimized in try) and with command line:

%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\redists\galaxyupdater.exe /clientUpdatePath="%PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\GalaxyClient" /redistUpdatePath="%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\redists" /reportToService /updateClient /updateRedist

I had a file permissions issue (that I thought I had resolved years ago). I have it working now, and its unrelated to gog galaxy, but still "unresolved". It has caused some extreme frustration over the years. Long story short, I (as the only user and admin) randomly lose file permissions to files/folders, even after using multiple fixes from ms support, 3rd party app permission fixer programs, manually changing user permissions, etc etc. The only thing I haven't tried (due to laziness and annoyance) is completely reinstalling win7.

Thanks for the help anyways. Is there any quick place I can see the most current version available?
I just updated to latest version and I noticed it changed my default install location from D:\GOG Games to C:\GOG Games

Just thought I'd give a heads up.

I think I had similar problem once, came with some ms update. Could be .net, but can't be sure now.. Personally I have plenty of serivces, DEP and any other functions set to off and sytem works without even one crash for about two years now. Sometimes without restart for weeks.
If you looking for detailed informations about current version, everytime you force update check in:

%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\logs\GalaxyUpdater.log
Still want confirmation that copying an entire folder structure of Witcher 3 after preloading through Galaxy will still work now that I've pointed Galaxy to it. When I started to download the game, all folders were on default as it was the first download I did through Galaxy. I changed the options mid-download so that the install directory would be my S: (SSD) drive but it still installed it on the default drive...

I don't want to have to download the entire game again.. it's a shame that the installer is not kept as a backup. It would make sense to me to have an option to not delete the installer when it is downloaded by Galaxy, so you have a backup in case of stuff like this or so you can burn it to a disc or something.

So will my copied version work?
Is there a way to take screenshots, like in steam you can just press F12. nice and convenient

i was asking if its possible... i guess not
Hi, I'm living in China so I'm not sure if this is a problem on your end or mine. The Chinese internet can be notoriously bad. In fact for a while your site was barely accessible and I was unable to download any of my games, even with your autodownloader.

Anyways...

I downloaded the GOG galaxy client and when I start up it tells me I need to update Galaxy. Okay.

The update is small (2 mb maybe) I get up to 1 mb and then it gives me an error message and tells me to download the full client from the main Galaxy page. It doesn't seem like that would help because I've downloaded Galaxy very recently.

Thankfully I can still download games (which is why I went ahead and purchased Wild Hunt). Just wondering if this is a known error, a China problem or what.
- pausing downloads or throttling max download speed is not yet possible

This right here is still not working. WTF!
That should never have been an issue right from the release.
Nothing like trying to download the witcher 3, getting part way, and then it fails. Fking cool.
Just bring back the GOG.com Downloader.
I tried to install Heroes of Might and Magic V: Hammers of Fate, and about halfway through, I got the blue screen of death and now my computer won't start. Did GOG break anyone else's computer?

Yes I entered a report at mantis.gog

After about 10 restarts, my computer seems to have shaken off whatever gog galaxy did to it. I promptly uninstalled gog galaxy, and I'm not sure I will be using it again, even after it passes beta.

When will gog downloader work again?

Will they fix the download speeds on Galaxy? lets take Terraria the game is around 104mb and takes like 30 seconds to download from the site for me and if I use Galaxy it takes around 8 to 7 minutes... odd speeds going on

lol anything 4gb and above I just download from the site cause the client take forever :( Please fix DL speed soon GOG.
