Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

I see that you decided to take the galaxy client of the shelfs. Which is a good thing. But it would be nice if you could fix the counting in the shelf.
I had galaxy hidden, since I did not want to sync it to the gogwiki before all this new stuff happened. And if I now go to my account, I still have Hidden (1) displayed, but when going to hidden, there is of course nothing since the galaxy client is not in the shelf anymore.
I tried account refresh and also looked to see what happens if a game is hidden. Which updates the number to Hidden (2).

It is kinda irritating, so a fix would be nice.

In anticipation of GOG's upcoming move to make click on Galaxy button on game library page install games via Galaxy Client then I will suggest the following (wish has bees filed as requested by GOG in this thread)

Custom setting of Galaxy default action / response when clicking Galaxy button on game page (link to wishlist "wish")

It has been told that the Galaxy icon button in our game library in future will be made to initialize a game install via Galaxy..
In order to make the Galaxy client work as a downloader them I strongly suggest an advanced Galaxy Client setting that allows Galaxy client default response to click on Galaxy button in game library to be that the Galaxy client downloads the game rather than installs it.
Further more I suggest that this is done in a way so that user also can customize the default download action by settings so that Galaxy can be set to :
A) with no dialog to download both preferred OS version and UK language version + preferred localized language version (if available) + all "bonus content"
AND
B) also by user be set to respond with a pop-up each time so that the user can easy "check box" which of available downloads to download (including all bonus content) and also check box which of the in the client preset possible download destinations to download to (provided that GOG by then have incorporated multiple download and install directories) ..
Afterwards then game can show up on left side of client as having been downloaded and ready to be installed, from local directory, by one click action !!!

Before GOG denies such a wish then it would be wise to contemplate and take into consideration that we are at GOG.com and NOT at Steam !!!! So while catering to those that wants it simple or easy only then it would be a very good idea to also cater to those who shops at GOG,com because they like their downloads !!!

So I have been preloading The Witcher 3 for a while now at speeds between 0.0 and 1.0 MB/s. Mostly hovering around 0.2 MB/s, yet Galaxy keeps saying I have only downloaded 3.1 MB.
Awww... Galaxy seems to have the same limitation as the Steam client, ie. it can't connect from our corporate network (due to proxies or VPN or firewall or whatever?). So I can apparently forget about trying to download big games fast with it at the workplace, if needed. GOG Downloader client didn't have that issue.

Anyone know if this is how it is supposed to be, or have the Galaxy developers just overlooked something? Otherwise I'd be ready to believe it is how it is supposed to be, except that EA Origin client does not have this issue. It connects fine to EA servers, can download Origin games with it etc.

Most likely your company is blocking the ports needed by Galaxy, same issue online games have. What I do at my college (which basically does the same) is download the standalone installer, and since they are becoming compatible with Galaxy you should be able to install that at home and have it work fine.

Destro: There is right unusual amount of The Witcher 3 pre-downloads going on - like dozens of petabytes per hour. I'm afraid it can affect some other downloads going on. Please be patient and sorry for the inconvenience.
That just totally baffles my brain. Insane amounts of data! That is very impressive!

Most likely got less to do with Galaxy than to do with a lot of people trying to download stuff at the same time.
I had a dl speed issue using GOG downloader yesterday evening..
But of course I can't say how GOG have setup their servers and what server limitations and other infra structure limitations that they may have , anyway , they could have been overwhelmed by own success or they are selling a lot of games from their offer on the Darksiders franchise and Saint Row the third o that many people are installing their new DRM FREE purchases (?)

P.S.
Or perhaps this one could still be in effect ? :

It will only open that game in page the Galaxy, not install it or do anything you didn't ask for.

And as for installation, in future you will be able to configure what you want to install, where and in what language at the beginning of each installation.
It's going to be interesting to see how well the Galaxy client and infrastructure holds up to the Summer sales promo in the next month or so, along with the release of all of the classic id Software games, more Star Wars titles, more LEGO titles, and 2K Games and Bethesda's debut on the site next month all within such a short time frame. :) Your servers are going to literally catch on fire! I just hope they don't catch an arrow in the knee. :)

Still doesn't mean that you couldn't let the Galaxy client offer to be set to start downloading old fashioned installer instead in style of what the GOG downloader do and defacto create the possibility to run the Galaxy client as a first and foremost a downloader if wanted..
A doesn't necessarily have to exclude B (if you look at it as a mathematical comparison)

It's to early (for me anyway) to have an active imagination. You can't say Beth is coming to GOG unless it happens, that's just wrong... xD
