Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

========================================================================================

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

skeletonbow: ah, I'd like to pick up a Steam controller some time. I'm mostly a keyboard+mouse player but certain games I do play with a gamepad such as old arcade games, the odd platformer the rare times I play them, and other games where it feels like it might be a more natural fit, but that's rare. I see the Steam controller as being something in the middle that can transition other games that would be uncomfortable or unplayable or poorly playable on a regular gamepad and are meant for keyboard and mouse to be potentially able to work with the Steam controller due to its different design goals, so it's more of a curiousity to me to see how it works with certain games and other stuff to see if it is worthwhile. Not until they drop the price or put them on sale though, and by sale I mean "in Canada" which doesn't seem to happen. :)
I have one and I honestly couldn't get use to it... it didn't feel natural to me. Not a big fan of track pads. However, some people take to it fast after they get use to it. But if your someone who has spent most of your time using regular controllers it's a completely different feeling. This is why I am glad Steam has expanded this feature to support PS4/Xbox controllers. Much better for me.

hey guys, is it possible to add some sort of "remember login and password" while changing between acounts? it's quite annoying to type that stuff and reciving email with pin code every time after my girlfriend is using my computer ;)
The silence around For Honor is starting to subside, which is good, given that the game is supposed to be out on Valentine's Day u2fifa. What will happen after release with regard to DLC is still unknown, but at least we now know maps and modes will be free."We don't want to split the community

Excellent ability of systematical management.
I've recently noticed severe FPS drop when playing Neverwinter Nights via Galaxy. The game runs very smoothly when launched from an exe, but performs pretty horribly otherwise.

Is it a known issue and will it be fixed anytime soon?

Anything is possible of course. I would deem it rather unlikely though as none of the gaming clients allow saving multiple account username+password combinations presumably due to it being a bad practice as far as security is concerned. As such I wouldn't expect GOG to do it either.

Having said that, the Galaxy protocols are being reverse engineered by someone who posts in the forums and there might be others contributing to that effort now or in the future as well so it is only a matter of time until community based clients start to spring up, and hopefully they are all open sourced under OSI approved style licenses. In that case, if any OSS community clients don't have this feature it would be extremely trivial for someone to implement it themselves and either contribute it back to the given codebase, or to release their own customized version of the given client.

At this point in time it's just a lot of speculation over what might be possible in the future though, however nobody can know for sure and only time will tell.

I would speculate that such a problem might be some kind of interference caused by the Galaxy overlay beta. Try disabling the overlay for this game and see if that resolves the issue. If so, it might be a good idea to file a bug report in Mantis to share the observed details with GOG for future updates to the overlay code.

If it isn't a problem with overlay interaction however then I've got nothing.

I don't think it's possible to turn off the overlay at the moment on preview version. Whether the checkbox is checked or not, the overlay works in all titles it is functional in at the moment. While the overlay itself does not work with Neverwinter Nights yet, when I try to call it with SHIFT + TAB, the cursor changes from NWN's regular one to a standard Windows arrow (which also makes clicks not work in the game). Pressing the key combination again returns it to normal (as if the overlay was closed) and, what's interesting, it works only once per launch - if I try to "launch" the overlay again after I "close" it once, nothing will happen.

So yeah, there's that, but pretty clearly the overlay in NWN at least attempts to work, no matter the overlay checkbox in Galaxy settings.

Try editing the game's goggame*.info file and adding to the global section:

"overlaySupported": "false"

You'll need to put a comma at the end of the line before that also, and then exit and restart the Galaxy client which forces it to re-parse all of the .info files. It's a good idea to test the .info file first with jslint.com to make sure it is in proper syntax and reduce the likelihood of errors, as Galaxy will reject the file if one character is bad, and redownload it and overwrite any customizations.

Let us know if that works for you.

Didn't work, apparently. A cursor still changes upon holding down SHIFT and TAB. Obviously, it doesn't happen when I launch the game without Galaxy.

I made a mistake, "false" should not be in quote marks, it should be like this:

"overlaySupported": false
avatar
BKGaming: Basically it allows regular controllers (PS4/Xbox) to work like a Steam controller. This means you can map keyboard/mouse controls to the controllers allowing games that don't typically support a controller to be played with a controller. He is saying this would be beneficial to GOG since GOG is mostly made up of old games that lack default controller support.

However, I think GOG has a little more important things to get done before something like this is worked on...
I agree that GOG still has much else to focus on. However, I just tried this function in Steam and it's fantastic. I can take a game that had no gamepad support on PC, like Sid Meier's Pirates! (the new one), and add support for an Xbox 360 controller quite easily. Now my config is available for anyone else to use as they please.

Not only this, the Steam controller (and, by inheritance, Xbox 360 controller) has software support for very advanced features, such as turning one of the joysticks into a radial menu, mode shifting for near-infinite functions, or even region-limiting, which is great for moving around a mini-map in an RTS.

My point is, they're falling further and further behind. At this point, I'd like a Steam-plugin to manage my GOG games.

No worries, I know how to edit an info file. Besides, there already was a line for the overlay there, I just had to change the value to false. Still nothing.

Steam client has a "Add non-steam game to Steam" that works, and allows many Steam client features to be used with GOG games and other games. Not sure if this feature is one of them but it's worth giving it a shot.

Was it in the global section? The syntax has changed not too long ago and older .info files might not have it in the right place.

Incidentally I had NWN installed and the overlay doesn't work on it for me at all. A pending GOG game update that I let apply caused the game to no longer launch from Galaxy at all so I can't test further for the time being though.

I've noticed two more things regarding this stuttering in NWN when launched via Galaxy.

1. The game runs smoothly just after launch and slowly becomes more and more stuttering. After about 10 minutes of playing, the stutter becomes annoyingly noticable and after 20 minutes it becomes REALLY bad. When I quit and start the game again, it runs smoothly again.

2. Even if the game has just been launched (and therefore runs smoothly), pressing SHIFT + TAB creates the stutter immediately and again, the only way to get rid of it is to restart the game.

Hmm. Have you looked in the Task Manager for anything suspicious during the stuttering? Might be a memory leak or something.
