Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

Lucumo: Is there any reason why three instances of GalaxyClient Helper.exe are running when using GOG Galaxy?
These processes are all parts of Galaxy Client, each responsible for a different thing, so no worries there.

avatar
Johny.: 1.1.20 is the version that is currently on preview. :) It matches the "regular" version now, but it might get updated before the "regular" version do.
avatar
Tairetsu: Oh! Alright then, that's probably the issue then :P I'll keep it on just in case, another question...Is it then, possible, to downgrade to an older version of the client?
It is written in the sticky post:

OK. Good. Another question though: Why is the description of a game in a completely different language than everything else?

That is a bug. :( We know about it and you can look up related entries in http://mantis.gog.com/

Tyrrhia: It has been awfully quiet, over here and for the past few days. Is it the calm before the storm that is representing the 1.2 update? :P
avatar
Johny.: You really can't wait, huh? :)
Aha! So, it is! ;P

Nah, don't worry. I can wait; I'd rather you take a lot of time and receive a polished product than receive a product in a poor state. Besides, Galaxy already does all the things I need it to do perfectly—downloading, launching, and time-tracking—so it's more to see what cool things you guys can come up with. ;)

I think it's IP location–based? I'm located in France and I have these texts (if available) in French. It's not really a problem since it defaults to the Headlines section, though.

Oh, and I have one more question: how / when does Galaxy choose to update itself? For example, a few days ago, I decided to skip an update because I didn't really want to wait, thinking that it would download it the next time; but when I later closed it and opened it back up, it didn't ask me if I wanted to download it, so I assume I was still on the older version.

So, I think an update button (maybe above the "Exit GOG Galaxy" button?) that would close Galaxy and launch the updating process would be nice.
Hey,

we have released Galaxy 1.1.21.

It includes a fix for Store page being loaded (refreshed) on it's own. Sorry it took us so long to fix that.
Also small fixes to prevent occasional crashes were introduced. Enjoy!
What I don't understand is why is Galaxy downloading the entire uncompressed game, when it's simply supposed to be updating the fresh install? I only downloaded it the day before so it's the newest version, isn't it? There's not much point downloading the compressed game to save hours of download time on a slow internet service, only to have Galaxy do this.

And I don't know if this is the place to mention it or not, but sometimes when downloading or updating a game through Galaxy I get a "download failed" message and have to completely exit Galaxy then start it again to continue the download, and every time I need to do this I mysteriously lose about 500mb's of progress. For me that means 30 to 60 minutes of lost time, depending on how good or bad the internet service is at the time.

I meant like, using older versions that aren't the last stable one.

Tairetsu: I meant like, using older versions that aren't the last stable one.
You can probably see if there is still an older version floating around. They don't seem to remove the older installers from the CDN, so you may be able to find a link to one somewhere.

Then try running the following to keep it from updating: "%PROGRAMFILES%\GalaxyClient\GalaxyClient.exe" /runWithoutUpdating

The most recent link I have that isn't the current one is: / [url=https://cdn.gog.com/open/galaxy/client/galaxy_client_1.1.17.3.pkg]galaxy_client_1.1.17.3.pkg

Older version will likely stop working relatively often, though, since they've mentioned making a lot of back-end changes.

Edit:
A relevant post from the past.
avatar
skeletonbow: Not sure if GOG keeps the old versions around on their servers or not. (...) Unless you can figure out what "d" is, you wouldn't be able to guess the actual filename to download. It may or may not be available in either case though, so you might be out of luck.
avatar
Liosan: We keep a few versions :) The "d" number is always logged - some digging around through your old GalaxyClient.log files can help.

Still no support for mouse back/forward buttons. Ridiculous. Alt+Left, Alt+Right not supported as well.
No news about the Linux version ?
I'm bored, it's soooo looooong
My Galaxy client still doesn't track how many hours I've played a game.
Can we PLEASE get some kind of notification via the overlay if Galaxy loses connection to the internet? Having to redo entire sections of a game to unlock missed achievements is not fun as I'm finding out tonight.

EDIT: Or making them work offline for all games would be okay too. :)

Achievements should work offline, as long as game was launched at least once with internet (we are aware there's room for improvement), if they don't, please report it on mantis (and include logs:)) and we'll take a look.

It didn't appear to work for Batman A Telltale series, I missed one (or two) of the achievements while my internet was out.... though I've done restarted the episode now.
My galaxy updated to 1.1.22 preview. I wonder what was changed ?
