Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

TheTomasz: Achievements should work offline, as long as game was launched at least once with internet (we are aware there's room for improvement), if they don't, please report it on mantis (and include logs:)) and we'll take a look.
There seems to be some kind of error or bug with the way the Galaxy client interacts with the games offline, my internet is very bad, but it was working kind of well this morning, I wasn't downloading anything, I fired up a game of Cossacks and it actually tracked that I played for 27 minutes, no game had been getting game tracked for weeks if not months by now.

Homever I played the game again tonight, with my internet not working very well again, and it stopped getting tracked...

Another thing I should point out is that the first time I noticed a game stopped getting tracked was after alt-tabbing Colonization...And I alt-tabbed Cossacks, I can't tell if it's the alt-tabbing, the internet or both, since I alt-tabbed in my second play session with my internet already kind of screwed up, and it didn't got game tracked that time, I tried playing the game a couple more times just to test it, and it didn't got time tracked neither after playing about 5 minutes without alt-tabbing, nor alt-tabbing.

Of course I can't really test it with my internet being stable because I have no control over that.
Latest update seems to have deleted all of my GOG games from my computer. I checked C:\GOG Games - my GOG Galaxy game install folder and it's empty. Galaxy also detects none of the games on my computer. Anyone have any idea how this could have happened or if it's possible to retrieve my save files?

EDIT: And now everything's back. That's weird as hell. Disregard most of this post, I guess, but it's weird that everything was removed from my list temporarily

Transport Fever's latest patch (12070) is still for some reason not available via Galaxy. I had to manually install it and turn off automatic updates for the game as it otherwise wants to revert to version 11908, since Galaxy insists that it is the newest version, even though the changelog itself lists 12070 as the newest.

That seems to be less like a bug and more like someone done goofed when pushing through the patch.

Venom: Changelog 1.1.23 (November 28th, 2016)
Bugfixes:
• Galaxy will be now able to reconnect to internet correctly, if computer was put to sleep and then woken up without (initially) Internet connection
• Downloading of games/updates should have less impact on starting other installations
Not having the best of luck with starting new installs while already downloading. Last night, individual game pages weren't loading at all while I was already downloading. From the Library, using the little drop-down menu to start the install would bring up the initial install preferences dialog window, but it never loaded beyond a loading icon, the Cancel button, and the Continue button. Eventually, it failed and I got a notification in the upper right for about three seconds noting a "Server problem".

Took a guess that the notification was probably correct instead of just a result of trying to start a new install while already downloading, so I paused the download overnight and tried again today. Now, the installs are actually starting, but there seems to still be more of an impact than in previous versions. With previous versions of GOG Galaxy, the dialog would load more quickly and I'm also noticing a delay now with 1.1.23 between confirming to start/queue the next install and seeing it added to the installed games list and download queue.

Edit: Note, a couple versions back, Galaxy apparently reset its default game download folder on me, so I uninstalled the games in the new location to get them where I had intended and got to test this again. Now, the install windows are loading very quickly, almost immediately in a couple of cases. Unless it was purely down to something with the server, the difference between now and previous cases is that the in-progress download was an installer through the Backups tab for a game not compatible with installing directly through Galaxy and today, every install (the one currently in progress and the ones queued to follow it) were initiated directly through Galaxy.

Edit 2: Back to square one. Tried queuing up a few things initially and it went fine, but trying to queue anything more is failing again.

Galaxy is steadfastly refusing to track game playtime for me. I've tried multiple games, restarted Galaxy, logged in and out, but any amount of time I play a game is just not recorded, the games stay at 0m or whichever it was last time I played them some time back.

Can I fix this?

einexile: ... I can't figure out how to turn it off which sort of makes it a bad feature.
avatar
cogadh: Go into the individual game page in your library, click on More > Configure.
And it can also be disabled via a checkbox at install time.
I've been attempting to use Galaxy again for the first time in months, it's improved in a lot of ways and i'm liking it for the most part.

But I gotta say it's interaction with the regular GOG installers is still a nightmare. I'd really like to have the installers for backups and be able use Galaxy without hassle when using the installers. Each time I install a game i'm sitting here with my fingers crossed that it doesn't start trying to download the entire game again in Galaxy after it finishes, which seems to be a 50/50 chance. I am using the latest installers for said games.

I found a bug report on mantis with the delete galaxy.db/hashdb fix for this problem, and that does work most of the time, for games without DLC anyway.

I hope the problems when using the regular installers with Galaxy can be smoothed out eventually, keep up the good work.

I agree.
Hello. I really like Gog Galaxy but I've noticed something that made me a little bit curious as to why it could be happening.

I've tested and I noticed that when I run Galaxy and leave it open, after a few minutes my GPU temperature rises by 5-7°C. It's not a big deal but is this to be expected?

I can post my pc specs if you guys think it it could be relevant. I'll just add that I'm on Windows 7 Home Pro 64.

Hi.

I'm not sure what's really the problem with my GOG Galaxy.

I'm using win10

My GOG persistently updates itself. I click yes, GOG closes, and nothing happens.

Oddly enough, when I go to my games (I have The Witcher 3, Wild Hunt + season pass), it will ask to update. Update's fine, except.... once it reaches 100% bar, it will again reset to 0.

Frustrated, I deleted witcher 3, and tried to download Witcher 3 GOTY edition, which ended up downloading an entire 34GB of installation, and then, says "installing", and back to 0, and then proceed to redownload the game.

May I know what on earth is going on with my GOG galaxy? why is it screwing itself and also screwing my Witcher 3 update?

Please advice.

I presume that without GOG Galaxy running - it doesn't rise the temperature? :)
Could you try following scenario?
Open any game view (click on any game in the sidebar), hide GOG Galaxy to tray and check if it happens after a few minutes

Excellent! I found that the "Import Folder" feature works flawless to re-install or move a game to another machine, so i'll just 7z package my large game folders as a backup for now.

Ok. I waited for my gpu temperature to estabilize and started Galaxy, opened game view and hid it to tray. After almost 10 minutes idling, my gpu temp went from 35c to 45c.

Good excuse to post this:
Closing the intel control panel seemed to fix the game tracking issues for me. Might have something to do with the pop-up about the screen resolution changing perphaps?
