1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

dEUS68: I just installed GOG galaxy for the first time as soon as I realized there was a beta, and I'm pretty amazed with it. It goes very smooth and for the eye it looks fancy. Also I find some of the features it has very usefull and that makes it practical for everyone of us. I just bought two games directly on GOG galaxy very easily. (And be able to launch them on GOG galaxy is great.)

The thing is that If you start two dowloads in the same time you cannot manage whether If you want to priorize or stop one installation. Currently when you start the installation of two games at the same time, you just can pause both of them instead of be able to stop just one installation. I'm sure it would be better to improve that.
Also, If you have a pending installation that it's not finished yet, the game it appears as "Installed" in the account's library and it isn't yet. That's just a minor thing.

That's all I have to say for now. You're doing a great job and we are happy of being your costumers because we can trust on you. Good luck with the beta guys.

Johny.: Thank you for this positive feedback dEUS68. :)

Actually you can drag&drop the downloads/installs in the queue, see this short clip: http://recordit.co/Ze5oOqVbwi
Thanks for the reply, it's good to know that I can drag and drop.

Today I made my first review (or opinion) of Kenshi on GOG Galaxy. I bought that game long time ago and it was awesome to find it on GOG Galaxy!!!

Just tried to import "Unreal 2" - failed. I tried to import via folder and library but no luck. Does anybody have the same problem?

Trying to download a backup copy of "Unreal 2" using Galaxy takes ages. I could download 2,4MB/s but Galaxy only offers 300KB. No problem using GOG downloader. Sometimes I wonder why I should use Galxy at all if it is this buggy!

GalaxyClient.exe crashes at startup after the update.

GalaxyClient.exe - Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point QueryUnbiasedInterruptTime could not be
located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32..dll.

I have an older computer still running Windows Vista

The Blues said that there's no guarantee that Galaxy will run on OS's before Win7. If you look back through this thread some people have put up links to older versions of Galaxy that might work for you. If you find one you should also look for a post that tells you how to disable the update feature, so you can keep using the old version.
Just a remainder, Linux users are still waiting for Galaxy. :-)
While searching for any potential cause to an issue I'm having with my display (I don't know if it's tied to Galaxy, but I don't really have anything else running apart from Chrome), I found a typo in the GalaxyClient log creation system, especially in this cycle:
<date> <time> [Information][ (0)]: Preparing service to query process information for X processes.
<date> <time> [Information][ (0)]: Requesting data for query process information.
<date> <time> [Information][ (0)]: Sending message of type 7 [Sequence Number: <number>], rseq 0 completed OK
<date> <time> [Information][ (0)]: Request sent [Sequence Number: <number>], waiting for response...
<date> <time> [Information][ (0)]: Recieved data for query process information.
It should be "Received." Just one tiny typing mistake that causes thousands of words to be wrong. :P
Hi, I just wanted to share my experience with the beta so far. I have to say, I love GOG Galaxy and what you all are trying to do with it. I gotta admit I was about to uninstall this thing and forget about it because every time it opened and found updates it would not properly do so. I kept getting and error "[Game] failed to install" and in the download manager "Update [Game] failed". Well, I finally found a solution after months of this.

Apparently, the GOG Galaxy game folder was set to "Read-Only". I have no idea how that happened because I've never touched the folder until now. I changed the whole folders attribute; deleted the spot that holds the info on where and what games are installed; restarted GG; rescanned the folder to add the games back and like magic I haven't seen that pesky error thus far! (fingers crossed)
Hello guys, I have a question about the GOG galaxy beta. It may seem obvious but I haven't been able to find the asnwer; maybe I'm not looking in the right places:

How do the multiplayer features of GOG galaxy work? I have read that galaxy will allow or make easier for us to play multiplayer, including in old games, yet I don't see any option at all related to multiplayer.

This was the main feature for me to install Galaxy, and yet I don't find it anywhere in the client ..?

Thanks

I think they meant server infraestructure for games, like Steam does, some games support it, but not many right now.

They really need to get going in convincing devs of adding Galaxy support to older titles, even some newer games are releasing on GOG without simple things like achivements, admitelly most of them are also waaaay cheaper here, but I think the percieved lack of features is a turn off for some people.

On a side note, would it be possible to add a link to the community forum on the store page of games? :) It's nice having one in the library, but sometimes you wanna go to a forum of a game you don't own to ask questions and stuff and it would save some clicks to have a link directly on the store page.

Hey all, I was wondering is there a possibility to make GOG Galaxy launch another file beside the default one?

For example, I bought Pro Pinball Timeshock that comes bundled with DOSBox and Windows version. Both are installed, but Galaxy launches DOSBox one. I'd like it to launch Windows version and timetrack that one.

Can I do that somehow?
boa noite, porque os jogos vem separados por partes, e não juntos em um unico link.

Eu baixei o the witcher 1, mas estou com dificuldades para instalar, o que faço.

Hi Liberteer, you can activate the Windows version (and many other alternate game versions) by going to the More -> Other submenu. In this case: More -> Other -> Pro Pinball Timeshock (Windows).

You're not the only one to find this confusing. If anyone from GOG is listening, might I recommend giving the Play button a drop-down menu instead, to play alternate versions and expansion packs (like Alpha Centauri: Alien Crossfire)?

Why the import of single games fails in 50 % of the cases?
The bug reporting link in the OP does not work :P
