Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

Liberteer: Hey all, I was wondering is there a possibility to make GOG Galaxy launch another file beside the default one?

For example, I bought Pro Pinball Timeshock that comes bundled with DOSBox and Windows version. Both are installed, but Galaxy launches DOSBox one. I'd like it to launch Windows version and timetrack that one.

Can I do that somehow?
avatar
Blackdrazon: Hi Liberteer, you can activate the Windows version (and many other alternate game versions) by going to the More -> Other submenu. In this case: More -> Other -> Pro Pinball Timeshock (Windows).

You're not the only one to find this confusing. If anyone from GOG is listening, might I recommend giving the Play button a drop-down menu instead, to play alternate versions and expansion packs (like Alpha Centauri: Alien Crossfire)?
Thank you very much. I've received the same answer from GOG support. They really need to make this more obvious. I saw that button, but I didn't try it because it wasn't obvious to me it will keep time tracking. Thank you very much.
Sooo...how do I report a bug because mantis.gog.com leads to APPLICATION ERROR #1502 Category not found?

SiN Gold is marked as not available yet in Galaxy, can't install it because it's "not compatible". Using Windows 7 here, by the way.

To any Blue that might see this, I have question about future plans for Galaxy. As of now Galaxy can auto-update an installed game, in the future will it be able to aiuto-update an installer that we've downloaded as a backup? Any info you can give me on this is appreciated.

Can you replicate this bug?

Tairetsu: The bug reporting link in the OP does not work :P
You need to report it via reporting link

I'm afraid that's not a bug (well, it's a fault, but it's not a bug): SIN Gold is one of a handful of games that simply aren't compatible with Galaxy at the moment for whatever technical reason. Others include Penumbra Requiem, Atlantis 2, F/A-18E Super Hornet (and the original Sword of the Stars, but I don't count that because SotS: Gold Edition fixed the problem as a free update).

You can still download any of those games' installesr from the GOG website and install and play them manually.

It just...happens everytime I open the client. Not sure what steps I must do to replicate that.

But yeah Blackdrazon was right in that at least I am still able to download the game from the GOG website and install it manually.

I was jesting you
Hi,

I'm interested in seeing with measuring the time I play games. GOG Galaxy has such a feature. I have a few questions about it:

- When does it start measuring time? Does it start when I play the game via the GOG Galaxy client (the PLAY button)?

- When does it stop measuring time? Sometimes I feel like it stops even when I'm still in the game. What event does the measuring react to? (Changing the window, Closing the game, etc.)

- GOG makes Desktop Shortcuts for games. If you use those, Galaxy isn't used and therefore time isn't tracked. Some popular client ;-) has the feature that it creates desktop shortcuts that let you play the games as if started via the client. Could you do the same?

Addendum: I do know that you want to keep GOG Galaxy optional. But you could provide those shortcuts in addition to normal shortcuts, thus making use optional.
After doing the last update the sign in counter for the sale reset to 24 hours to go without being able to sign in for the day.
This of course was easily fixed by going trough the web browser instead.
But I can immagine allot of angry people if they notice they missed a 100xp bonus due to galaxy.
Okay, my GOG Galaxy don't show interface after update half hour ago. And bugtracker doesn't work. Any ideas?

Bugtracker bug:

APPLICATION ERROR #1502

Category not found.

Please use the "Back" button in your web browser to return to the previous page. There you can correct whatever problems were identified in this error or select another action. You can also click an option from the menu bar to go directly to a new section.

Okay, It work after ten re-runs.

agentgoblin: Okay, It work after ten re-runs.
You tried it 10 times all within a short period or spread out? Either way, that's quite persistent of you! Glad it pays off.
Mantis has been fixed, sorry for this outage.
Every time I've turned on Galaxy for a month or so, I've gotten a "Loading Timeout" warning. At first I thought it was a server-side issue, but I'd like to think you aren't having the same issue for a month straight and nobody's mentioned it but me. Galaxy usually connects as soon as I hit "Retry," so the problem is basically harmless, but it's still wrong, so I'm bringing it up all the same.
I keep getting error of missing file mfc140u.dll if I try to do the following:
1. Opening Galaxy Client Beta
2. Trying to uninstall it (though uninstalling works)
3. After installation

None of the normal C++ library fixes seem to fix my problem, even uninstalling them completely and then reinstalling.

Is there anything I can do?
I hope it is a correct place for post like this, if not then please move it.
Will there be a big update before the end of the year?
