Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

skeletonbow: But I do hate cats for the record. :)
I used to hate cats, but I love them now—they're so cute and fluffy! I've never had one as a pet, though. In fact, I love pretty much all animals, except bad insects—I hate bugs, eww!

Ok, I have to admit that if they're prepared just the right way with my favourite rice, and a nice greek salad, then they're not that bad at all. As long as it's been prepared and inspected properly and not some back alley butchering. :) And before anyone balks at that, it's perfectly legal in Canada. :)
Well imagine my disappointment when installed the Galaxy software to then get the "mfc110.dll missing" and the solution of downloading the Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x64) - 11.0.61030 did not work.

Very disappointed as now I have to download each game file by itself after I accidentally bought the non steam version of the game.

I may be being a bit harsh here, but this is a fairly old error?

edited for grammar issues, seriously it is so hard to complain well ;-P

First I've heard of it. What's your Mantis bug report ID, I'll have a look at the details and see if anything rings a bell.

No. :) While it is almost universally an unknown fact, it is completely legal in Canada to prepare, sell and consume dogs and cats as human food. It simply needs to be inspected by a government meat inspector and approved like any other meat. While this is legal and little known, in practice I do not think it is actually done anywhere because it is socially taboo and would be highly controversial even though it is technically legal.

This comes as a shock to both non-Canadians and Canadians alike, but I encourage anyone who doesn't believe it to hit up Google and find out for themselves. :) Meow!! Nom nom nom, burp. :)

I didn't know it was legal in Canada and, as it turns out, in most states of the U.S. I'm glad you said it's more of a legal subject than what actually happens, though.

I would never knowingly eat dog or cat meat, even if I were in dire need of food—I would much rather die of hunger. It may be good but I don't want to eat any meat other than the "traditional choice" (i.e. meats from the beef family; pork as ham, pâté, and the like; poultry; rabbit; and game meats like boar or deer). It's not out of respect for these particular species because I respect all animals (with some exceptions made for bugs :P), but I guess it's cultural.

I joke about it, but in all honesty I wouldn't eat it either although I would probably taste a bite just to see what it tastes like out of curiousity. Not sure if I'd swallow it, that'd depend on what it tastes like. :)

It's ultimately as you say, cultural. One could have just about any animal as a pet and get emotionally attached to them and find it disturbing to eat the animal or potentially other animals of the same. Saw someone that had a pet pig that ended up feeling that way about pigs, and their pet was actually being raised to eventually eat. I don't think it would be easy to raise an animal as a pet and then eat it either, you pretty much have to raise it thinking of it as food. Be nice to it of course but no belly rubs or walks in the park etc. :)

Animals we treat as pets in other parts of the world are regularly treated as food (and possibly also as pets). Watched a documentary on Tibet before where they showed people killing and eating dogs pretty much the same way we would with chicken or pigs. It looked so disturbing, but really no different than someone killing a pig the same way - it was all psychological/cultural really. They also treat the cow as a sacred animal in India if I'm not mistaken, and there are various other similar things in other parts of the world where things are inverted.

We stick to what we're most familiar with for the most part. :)

And it's better that way, methinks. ^_^

I love it how we talked about animals and food and animals as food on a thread dedicated to a piece of software. But since there's "Galaxy" in the title and a galaxy can represent a whole lot of everything, I guess it has its place. :P

Even so... one thing is for sure though. This Galaxy is much more interesting and exciting than any of the ones in No Man's Sky. I'm just saying. :)
I had to do a Win 10 reset. Galaxy wouldn't work after it. Tried to reinstall, but it wouldn't let me as it was "the same version". I then uninstalled Galaxy and reinstalled it.

Galaxy did not show any games, so I had to use the "Search Folders" option. It found all the games, but insisted that every one of them needed to be "updated" All 60 or so of them!

For those that "failed" the "Play" icon is greyed out (although I can still play the games from the desktop shortcuts).

This leaves me games I need to "Verify" if I want to play within Galaxy.

You definitely need a way of keeping a form of information to know what GOG games are installed so they can be immediately "recalled" if there is a problem. At the moment it seems only full backups can do that job, but wastin gigabytes of Hard Disk space!

Hi skeletonbow,

I do not have a Mantis bug report ID.

Known issue as per the reference "ERROR: MFC110.DLL IS MISSING (OR OTHER .DLL FILES MISSING)" (see link below) on the "GOG GALAXY - troubleshooting and useful information" page

I have seen a few user references to the same issue.

I also installed the application into the root drive as recommended for the latest version due to a possible permissions issue under the normal install location.

Tyrrhia: Definitely no doubt about that. ;P
Not only that, GOG Galaxy has already implemented a larger percentage of the promised features than No Man's Sky and in a smaller time frame, and it's only still in beta! :)

Ah, good to know. Glad you were able to find a solution, and hopefully GOG can figure out a workaround for the problem in the future to make it transparent as well.
