Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

MarkoH01: After about 84hrs of playing Witcher 3 my connection broke for a short moment (not Galaxys fault ;)). Since then Galaxy does not count the game time anymore (still stays at 84hrs 21 minutes). Anything I can do to fix this on my end?
avatar
thomq: When that happens to me for other games, I quit the game and restart Galaxy. I've noticed the time for the game got updated immediately before starting the game again. That is, the time wasn't lost.
It now works for me again but after two days or so without updating the time. As you said, the time is not "lost".
it's been what, 2 years after the announcement?

We still haven't got any public profile with achievements and the chat sucks. Updates are rare, what's the plan?

What do you mean by "plan"? Is that a feature you are requesting?

This is what was last stated:

Destro: Hi guys,

Quick update about what we’re working on now. Currently we’re polishing version 1.1.13. which should bring some noticeable additions and improvements rather than just bug fixes, including
- huge optimisations in CPU usage when Client is idle or when playing a game
- faster and snappier browsing experience
- shortcuts to store page, support and forums for every game
- option to see your friends game time for games
Obviously plenty of bug fixes and other will be tackled as well.

After 1.1.13 is out, we’ll likely have one or maybe two smaller versions before 1.2. As for 1.2 itself, you can expect some pretty cool stuff there, but I can't share details at this point. We definitely plan an earlier preview version together with the announcement.
I'm happy with gog galaxy beta the way it is and am content to wait for the updates. Good and worthwhile updates take time. I'd rather wait than have gog rush something out that sucks or goes against their core philosophy.

The core gog philosophy is what keeps me as a devoted gog follower. No one else comes close.
108 mb update, wow. :P
Anyone know whats new with the new update? I don't see anything different.

Probably just backend updates, it's not the 1.1.13 update listed above.
Do games that have been pre-ordered automatically download when they release, or do they have to be manually started?
Thank you

I doubt that galaxy has that function yet. I wish it did for No Man's Sky though. :P

Heh, that's why I'm asking.
The funky release time of NMS and those of us that have day jobs.

Thank you
If the game publisher has decided to allow pre-download, then you can install the game prior to release but it wont be playable as certain files/content are missing to await release day. If you have installed it, then come release day the game will automatically update to the final release unless you have auto-updates disabled for that game. So yes, it will auto-update to the final release as long as the publisher has decided to allow pre-loading.

This is how The Witcher 3 was released, so this functionality has been present in Galaxy since the public beta was officially released.

Galaxy does. No idea if No Man's Sky is taking advantage of pre-loading or not however.

From what I heard some people from steam say is that steam isn't even having pre-install for game.

So it seems developers choice.

That's not what I was asking for. I'm already aware that they are not pre-loading.
When the game releases at 1PM tomorrow, I want to know if the Galaxy client will just start downloading it or if I have to click the button, because I have a job, and it'll be kind of sucky if I get home and then am looking at a 40GB download or whatever it is. It'd be really nice if the client would just start the download when it's able to.

No it does not, you have to click install, and the download size is like 6 GB.
