Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

BKGaming: It's suppose to be coming soon.. but GOG's coming soon and our coming soon it two totally different things. I mean many features have been listed as coming soon on the main page for well over a year now. I guess GOG has officially invented GOG time (they had to compete with Valve I guess).

Anyway... let's just hope it's worth the wait, otherwise I think many of us might start evaluating if Galaxy is worth waiting for or not. Not that I don't want GOG to succeed, but there comes a point where the waiting game becomes a little to long.
I understand it is a small team working on galaxy, I guess it is best to get bugs squashed before releasing a big update.

I'm sure it will be, as they say "good things come to those who wait". I mainly use it as an advanced downloader/updater, it does its job other than the 'server problem: installation failed' with a few games, but it is still a beta.

Which particular games are your having issues with?
Allrighty, hello everyone!
Will it be possible in the future for GOG Galaxy to have it's own frame? I have 1.1.12 Beta version, and it opens just like Paint or Word - you know, the full window, close, and minimalize buttons are not Galaxy's own, but Windows. I'd love to see Galaxy having it's own frame, it would look very proffesional (like Steam or Battle.net). I don't think it's urgent, and I know that GOG team have more important things to do, but that's just my idea, it's just about looks. Sorry for language errors ;)
EDIT: I'm sorry if my post is in the wrong topic section, not sure where I can ask about it

Venom: Which particular games are your having issues with?
Hi Venom, the games in question are F.E.A.R. 2: PROJECT ORIGIN + REBORN, CARMAGEDDON 2: CARPOCALYPSE NOW and CONSORTIUM: MASTER EDITION

I have 4 drives, one for my C: OS which is an SSD, two for gaming D: and E:, one an SSD and the other a HDD, finally a laptop HDD for storing things F:.

I have tried installing through galaxy and their standalone installers and I keep getting the same error for these games.

Thanks for your time :)

Also noticed when galaxy tries to verify their files it doesn't save them on my E: but on my F: where I store my gog installers.

Is it just me or is this thing just not worth using. I finally downloaded it to try it because I have had numerous failed attempts to download some of my games and this program was the answer they gave to fix my download problem.

Most of my games I had to try to force the program to see because this stupid program can't see them right where they should be and then when I scan it the stupid program says they are all corrupted which they aren't.

I don't like steam, I hate it because of the programs to launch etc. This is too much like that, I wanted GOG because GOG allowed me to download and install my stuff old school. I don't want GOG to be steam plain and simple.

Yeah well, they are not corrupted. That is just the very misleading message saying that the game needs to be updated to make it galaxy compatible.

The problem is that GOG said they'd make all of the installers Galaxy compatible but they never did, so many games do not register themselves with Galaxy and can't be detected by scan-folders either so they need to be manually imported. Until a game is properly imported Galaxy won't let it be used until it syncs with GOG's servers. There are a few problems that arise and this is by no means a complete list:

- If you installed via a standalone installer but there is a newer version available, Galaxy has auto-updates turned on by default mandatory with no option to disable it until after it's already updated. If you had a patch file that you could have also installed to bring the game up to date, you're out of luck if Galaxy client is running because as soon as the game installs it registers with Galaxy which then syncs automatically with GOG's servers not knowing or caring that you have a standalone patch that you can and my be actually installing yourself. This may corrupt the game because you may be updating it at the same time Galaxy is. Workaround: Shut down Galaxy before manually installing games, then patch them, then start Galaxy and use scan-folders or manual import to register them. It will still sync to GOG's servers to get the updated .info file and some other redistributables etc. (Which I always find odd because if you've installed via the "standalone" installers, they should already have any redistributables the game needs and they should be installed already).

- Galaxy often displays user-unfriendly misleading error messages like "game corrupted" which sounds scary and a lot of people probably freak out about that. Often, what it SHOULD display is something like "validating game installation please wait" or something because all it is often doing is updating the .info file or similar and that doesn't warrant displaying a scary error message to users. It should only say there is corruption if it has tried everything already and a game is actually corrupt in some way. Note that it also can not determine if a user has modded a game, so it will treat a modded game as being corrupted as well. There's no easy technical way to do anything about that.

If you want "old school" then download your games via your web browser, uninstall Galaxy, install your games by hand, open up a commandline prompt and CD into the directory the game is in and type the name of the executable to run the game. Then spend 2 hours on the Internet googling to find patches on various game company's websites. Old School(TM). :)
I had to pause the tropico download which is the one that keeps failing that they said galaxy would take care of because it could pause, continue and all that jazz...... Tried to resume, it started the damn thing over again. Galaxy is useless and I still cannot download that purchase. I am now seriously concerned about buying NMS though here.....

Are you sure it really started over? Because while the client always shows it is starting at zero again, the actual file fize it is going to download normally is smaller than before because it continues and just does not really show it.
addfont error , win10 x86, without and with admin rights, clean installation . i'm out-_-

To paraphrase famous Feynman biography, or it's title: Surely You're joking, sir. Galaxy isn't the one and only way to download a game. It never was and (I hope, but GOG is trustworthy lot, so I'm 99% sure) never will be.
The problem is a slow internet. When I cannot download the 4 gig file for Tropico that keeps failing, and the resume function in Galaxy also fails..... What chance do I have of downloading 7 gig with any success? I lose a lot of hours over and over again. That should explain my concern.

Well I cant be positive but I believe the total of the download that restarted was the same. I will check though just to be sure.

I just checked it and it is started over, same original file size and just like before the damn thing started at 0 again, no resume....

Ah alright. Why don't you use the gog downloader? Because that will resume downloads, I know that for sure, have been using that all the time. While it is old and support will always tell you about the "great new" galaxy, the good old downloader is certainly not bad.

Couldn't agree more. I sometimes use gogrepo.py script to download a game and once in a while it would hang. When I rerun the script it just does fresh download. But gogdownloader can actually pick up where gogrepo failed and it just downloads the rest. Getting to downloader links may be a bit inconvenient but there are userscripts for this too, namely the adalia fundamentals.
When using Galaxy it'd be nice to be able to use the Search function on the Forums page.
