Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

jsauerii: The problem is a slow internet. When I cannot download the 4 gig file for Tropico that keeps failing, and the resume function in Galaxy also fails..... What chance do I have of downloading 7 gig with any success? I lose a lot of hours over and over again. That should explain my concern.
Just to confirm you are on 1.1.12 correct? As someone who also has shitty internet I use pause/resume all the time in Galaxy, sometimes leaving is paused for days. Never had an issue. As moonshineshadow said it will appear as if it is starting over, usually saying 0.0 downloaded when you hit resume but after a few min it will jump to where it previously was. I've not heard anyone else really report issues with this either, so was just wondering.

You could also try a download manger in your browser, for instance with FireFox you can use DownThemAll...
Any news on the Linux client?

Still having issues installing/updating games in the Galaxy when running Windows as a non-admin user. I get an error saying I need to be logged in as an administrator. I should be prompted for those rights as needed, not just get an error at the end of the process. Running 1.1.12

moonshineshadow: Ah alright. Why don't you use the gog downloader? Because that will resume downloads, I know that for sure, have been using that all the time. While it is old and support will always tell you about the "great new" galaxy, the good old downloader is certainly not bad.
https://www.gog.com/downloader
Finally tried it, that thing is a no go, shows me no games and I see no way to use it with my games. It only shows 1 update, clicking that leads to a 404 page.

Once you have the downloader installed, go to your account page through your browser, click the game you want to download, then click on More->GOG Downloader Links. Not the easiest way to do it, but a decent alternative to browser downloading.

Just came back to edit that I had finally found that link. Will try the file that has not been working after another small one or two I hadn't downloaded yet. Thanks.

None of us do, we have asked and asked the Galaxy devs to keep us more informed on where they are with Galaxy but so far communication doesn't seem to be one of their priorities. Some of us are able to get more information than others but still, open communication would be nice.

Having said that, I would not expect a Linux build anytime soon. Galaxy progress is really slow.

mm324: When using Galaxy it'd be nice to be able to use the Search function on the Forums page.
Same here...currently seem to not really there
Hi guys,

Quick update about what we’re working on now. Currently we’re polishing version 1.1.13. which should bring some noticeable additions and improvements rather than just bug fixes, including
- huge optimisations in CPU usage when Client is idle or when playing a game
- faster and snappier browsing experience
- shortcuts to store page, support and forums for every game
- option to see your friends game time for games
Obviously plenty of bug fixes and other will be tackled as well.

After 1.1.13 is out, we’ll likely have one or maybe two smaller versions before 1.2. As for 1.2 itself, you can expect some pretty cool stuff there, but I can't share details at this point. We definitely plan an earlier preview version together with the announcement.

I'd guess that's the long awaited linux port :}

Thanks for the update, you don't know how appreciated this is by us. I assume ETA is soon, maybe even next week?

May I ask why GOG doesn't make use of early previews more often, even for these little updates? I'm sure some of us would even like to test nightly/weekly unstable builds like a lot other companies release to which we can report issues before the public ever sees them.

Destro:
Thanks for the update. It's much easier to overlook whatever problems we're having with Galaxy when we see confirmation that it's being worked on.

Is it really an option to see your friends' playtime, or an option for your friends to see your playtime? Small wording difference, but huge privacy difference.
