Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

========================================================================================

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

dirtyharry50: I tried to fire up Planescape Torment on my iMac today, running OS X 10.10.4, i5 3.4, Nvidia GeForce GTX 775M with 2 gigs RAM, 8 gigs system RAM. The game was working fine the last time I played it which may have been roughly two or three weeks ago. Like all 10 GOG games on this system, it was freshly installed by Galaxy since Galaxy at least here would not migrate existing apps, it would just download and install them again.

When I tried to run the game, I got a system message with progress bar indicating the game app was being verified. This should not have been happening for a game that was already approved by me earlier and was then run, etc. That is only a one time, first time thing with an app from an unidentified developer on OS X. No, this was NOT a case of that being the issue. The verify failed with a message that the app was corrupt and offered to move it to the trash for me.

I tried another GOG game I had installed and run previously. The same exact thing happened.

I tried the remaining 8 titles, all of which had already been given their approval by me previously and played. All of the were reported as corrupt.

No, my hard disk is not failing. I've been using this computer all day, in fact I used it quite often, and just sticking with today, I ran a lot of other games to see what would happen. Not one single problem. I've been running various apps all day long. Not one single problem. Not one.

That's all I need to see along with knowing how buggy Galaxy is to know where blame can be assigned here. What happened and how? I have no idea but something ain't quite right when only the 10 Galaxy games which were all tested and ran just fine not long ago are now all corrupt while not one other issue exists with this system.

So anyway, I am off now to get PST via HTTP download just like I always used to do and I will install that. Hopefully the that isn't corrupt but I am thinking that is going to be fine.

Worthy of note, I have left all settings for Galaxy at their defaults which means I have allowed Galaxy to update whatever it wants whenever it wants to. I don't know if that played any role here. I do know I don't have time for this. As I have said before, errors this catastrophic are not the stuff one expects to see in a beta, this is stuff that ought to be found in-house and fixed before any end user is burned by it. I know, testing entails risks and I am fine with it. I don't care they are gone. It goes with the territory but my comment still stands not that it matters I guess.

I just bring it to point out to anyone here that is using this thinking it is by and large safe and might just have an annoyance or two, make sure you are fully backed up. That's all. That reminds me. I am myself. I'll go fetch an earlier PST install from there, from before Galaxy presumably destroyed my 10 GOG installs somehow.

Fallen_Zen: We'll definitely look into it but it's rather strange issue. Do you have any reproduction steps maybe? Have you tried repairing the games? Can you do a Terminal command on a broken game bundle like this and paste the output?

codesign -vvv /Applications/GameName.app
I agree that is a very strange issue indeed. I don't know how one would go about trying to reproduce something like that. The same day I reported this, I trashed all the games as the system offered to when each failed to verify with the error noted above. So there's nothing to repair now. They are gone. I wound up downloading a new installer for Planescape Torment and it started up fine. I just checked it again now. It's still fine. I downloaded direct from the site via HTTP download to get it.

I have removed Galaxy from my system. As I noted above, I just don't have time for this personally. I did put some time into the test effort here, logged some bugs but I've had enough. It's nothing personal but I am very unhappy with top management for the decision making that led to this being revealed and released before it was ready as I've said on multiple occasions. I am a paying customer who's purchased nearly three hundred titles here so I just want to return now to playing games not testing client software, etc.

I wish you all the best with this and hope it turns out well eventually.

Hi everyone!
There is any short key option in GOG Galaxy? (like Shift+Tab in steam)

You mean for the overlay? That's not useable yet... should be coming soon.

Hello, i just downloaded the Galaxy Client from the GOG Galaxy web page version 1.0.5.14 as I recently did a clean installation of Windows and i let it update to 1.0.6.31. When i imported Witcher 3 to the Galaxy client its verifies the game and starts downloading 1GB Update but the game is already patched to 1.07 but anyway i let it update the game but then i noticed that "The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt" main header text is too big and in bold letters which i really hate it. So, i uninstalled the galaxy client and reinstalled it again to fix the Font / Text Size (but it didn't work) and imported the game and it starts downloading the 1GB again :( anyway to stop the game from updating? and how do i change the Font / Text size like the one on the picture i have attached please? Thank you!

That's how the font is, you really can't change it. Hopefully the UI becomes a little better eventually...

As far as the 1GB update, yea not sure why the client does this. It appears to have trouble identifying that all the files needed are present in the games folder already, and because of that downloads files it already has. I've noticed the issue with many games even though the games were patched all the way to the current version when I import them or verify there files. When the games are updated the only files it should be downloading is those needed by Galaxy to make the game function with it but for some reason this is not what happens. Hopefully that also improves as right now it makes Galaxy a huge bandwidth hog when compared to the standalone installers. :/

i have uploaded 2 more screenshots to show the difference, you can see in the first screenshot that "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" Text is smaller but on the second the Text is too big which annoys me the most as for the update i'll download it. I just want to revert the Text to it default size :( both the screenshots are take from the same GOG Galaxy Client 1.0.6.31. (I was on Windows 8.1 earlier and had no issue with it then i installed windows 7 because i was getting low fps in Borderlands 2 with PhysX set to high in windows 8.1 and then again i moved to windows 8.1 a few days ago now i have the big Text issue. Thanks!

Galaxy links to an embedded web page, which is what your actually seeing, so I would imagine that page has a few different fonts set and it can't find the same font that it uses on your Windows 7 machine on your Windows 8 machine so it picks a different one. Again just my best guess, do have any other games installed on your Windows 8 machine? Do they also look like that?

Thank you! I did the same as hanschke and couldn't go anywhere with the install. Used your link and when I installed it, the client updated itself to the new 1.0.6.31 version. Seems to be going ok. Saved me some hair pulling. ;P
