Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

========================================================================================

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

I just opened Galaxy and here is small problem. Why the Wolf among us, Shadow warrior, gabriel knight sins of our fathers 25th anniversary edition and Xenonauts are missing icons. Is this bug or not? Check the picture.

Szulak: I've checked game tracking feature on our side, and it works correctly. It's not possible to disable specified feature yet - it's why a checkbox in Settings dialog is greyed out. Could you report this issue to mantis, please? We will take a look a deeper look. Have a nice weekend!

gringlas: Yep, will do. Thanks for the reply :) Should I attach logs and if so, where do I find them? Program Data\GOG.com\Galaxy\logs?
Yep and that is where you can find them on Vista or later. The ProgramData folder is hidden by default so you have to unhide hidden folders. Zip them and post them on Mantis as a new report. ;)

Yep it's a known issue after the update, reported it yesterday. ;)

Trying to install Witcher 3, and I'm getting "Installation failed: connection problem"

I received the game code when getting a new Nvidia card, so I didn't have a choice on the matter of where I got the game. This is teaching me one thing, if a game is available on Steam, get it on Steam. GOG galaxy is NOT ready for prime time.

You don't have to use Galaxy... it's optional, download the files from your account. Even Steam has connection issues every now and then.

Now in then is one thing. Failure 100% of the times I've tried to use galaxy is quite another.

That is the point of a beta, they been having some server issues since yesterday however. But I have installed nearly 95 games with very little issue including the Witcher 3, so it's not 100% of the time, at-least for most of us.

Venom:

BKGaming: Getting a few issues now, client always starts in windowed mode even though I had it set to full screen when I closed it. I'm also not getting game icons on the left for a few games when I was before, like the Witcher Adventure Game, Mount and Blade, & Mark of the Ninja.

I would report but I'm on Windows 10, anyone else getting these issues?
When I restarted Galaxy for the update it updated itself ok but when it started up it started windowed also and ignored my prior window state of being maximized. I just had it maximized a minute ago and decided to exit and restart to try and reproduce your claim and sure enough it did the same thing for me. It's not remembering window state between invocations again now.

So far I have not seen the missing icons problem you describe though, but I'll make a note of it if that turns up later too. I'm on Windows 7/x64 Pro SP1

Venom: - Game time tracking should be updated more quickly after the game quits
avatar
gringlas: Sadly on Windows it still doesn't track my game time at all :( The option in settings is grayed out and unchecked, while on my Mac it is also grayed out, but checked, There it would track my gametime. Is there any way to maybe actiavate it in some setting file?
Game time tracking right now is not working reliably in the beta. If you start a game and then exit it later on, the time usually will not be updated right away. At some point in a minute or 10 mintues or 8 hours, it may magically update or it might never update at all. I've not noticed any pattern to it other than that it reliably doesn't work reliably. Same thing with achievements in The Witcher 3.

Looks like this release focused more on some of the critical issues like not deleting games in the Galaxy folder than bugs of lower consequence but I'm sure these ones will come up in the queue for bug stomping before long. :)

Grooves:
This thread is for beta testers beta testing the software, not for end users ranting and raving because a product they don't even want to exist let alone use - doesn't work for them so they want it to cease to exist for everyone else including the hundreds of thousands or possibly even millions of users that do want it to exist and are using it now.

GOG is not going to stop developing Galaxy right now or any time in the near future either and telling them to do so is just insulting their hard work. If you don't want to use it that's entirely your choice, you're not forced to. If you wish it didn't exist that's a perfectly valid opinion but it isn't one that is constructive or useful here for the purpose that this thread exists for.

Please take your ranting and whining elsewhere, it serves no useful purpose here for GOG or anyone else.

AlBQuirky: Sorry for the interruption and possible redundant post (have not read all 39 pages), but I found a slight "inconvenience."

I re-installed win 7 and am now working on getting my machine back to normal. After re-installing Galaxy, I am now ensuring all my previously installed games are installed. As I am doing this, I noticed that when I get to the game at the bottom of the game in my current window space, the drop down menu disappears below the window. I can see the "Install" choice, but all other choices are "out of the window space."

Now, I can scroll down and have the pull down visible. But the bottom (last line of games on the page) of my library, I get the first 3 options and all others are hidden. Is there a way to "detect" the position and adjust the drop down to go "drop up?"

Back to the regularly scheduled argument :)9
I think I encountered that before also but it's been a while. Probably a good idea to check mantis.gog.com to see if the issue is already reported and add comments or file a new bug report if not. Good idea to attach a screenshot of the issue as well.

Hope this helps.
Biggest shit i ever saw. First i cant download the witcher, then i cant start it, then its in the wrong language, download for language pacl doesnt work, after 1 day i can download it, then i cant start the game in this language... fuck GOG galaxy
Several games thumbnails are missing on the Galaxy client.

Have anyone else noted it?

I installed SW x-Wing 98, Tie-Fighter 98, Wing Commander. The are all missing thunbnail.

But Wing Commander 2 and Fallout are working, really strange.

Right now I guess they enabled this feature only for a select few early adopters.
