1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

yghern.909: Maybe 100G once isn't big deal, but 100G daily for a month would be significant. I will be using Galaxy for more than a month. I would like to avoid writing 100G of data daily either way. :)
Do you have any indication or evidence for this, or are you just contemplating a theoretical scenario?

Anyway, dozens or hundreds of GB of data in some sub-folder of the Galaxy installation do not sound right to me... The data volume hints at game files or installers of a quite a number of games, perhaps (i am just speculating here). Double-check the folders Galaxy uses for game installations and for downloading game data and game extras. If it was not a case of "Oops, i had the wrong download folder specified", then by all means file a bug report in mantis. It would be good if you could remember some file or folder names and add them to the bug report.

In any case, if you are curious or concerned about write accesses, you might try monitoring which applications write how much to your SSD in a certain time. For example, http://superuser.com/questions/365673/what-applications-are-exactly-reading-writing-my-hdd-in-a-given-period-applicat describes a few ways how you could monitor such application activity in Windows. (If you are using a different OS or you don't like to do it that way, well, then ...yada, yada... Google is your friend...).

My GOG Galaxy window is all grey, is there a fix for that? Already tried the sugestion on the support page.

Automatic updates for games - No need to go search for patches on the site, you will always have the latest version ready for you.
One Click installation - No need to go get the installer, or installers if split, to then store and run manually.

Those are two features that are pretty highly regarded. But yes, Cloud Saves is a big one, and I guess they have gotten that message seeing how highly ranked it is.
Is it just me or the forum search box for searching game specific forums had disappeared either in the Galaxy and the webpages? Bastion won't run and I cant even find it's forum directly via GOG!

I can't normally play the Witcher 3. I wrote to technical support several times, there I anything sensible wasn't answered. I managed to regret 10 times that bought game not in Steam. GOG Client doesn't work!
In LOG files error:

Please be aware that Client will accept any folder pointed to and will overwrite files inside it (this can for example wipe some mods or damage other apps in case of pointing to a wrong folder) and will update the game to the newest version (current default language English).
No, of course I didn't. It took me a bit to find the 'more' button. Now, I am importing a lot of the saved games. Thanks for pointing this out, I should learn a lesson I wish every day my customers would learn. RTFM man. :D
Conerning Prince of Persia - The Two Thrones

When installing via galaxy you can only install it in english. even after it's installed, you can only chose the language between english and french. It doesn't list german, though the webpage states, that it supports both english and german language

Did anyone else have trouble installing Bastion, I think Galaxy didn't install the redistributables needed because after I manually installed them all it then worked fine. Before that it would crash on start.

I also think Galaxy may have corrupted Trine: Enhanced Edition too because I had a disk access error I believe it was during download (at around 60%) and now it won't start. Getting error "The procedure entry point K32EnumProcessModules could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll". The original works but that may be because it finished before the disk error.

I've checked system files using SFC /SCANNOW and nothing was found so I'm pretty sure it's a game issue. Going to try re-downloading it in the morning. Anyone got any other ideas until then?

What OS are you using? Win Vista or XP, perhaps? If so, then the problem is probably with the build of Trine you are using not being compatible with Vista/XP. Try installing and running Trine without applying the patch then... Hopefully it is only the patch that is not Vista/XP compatible...

Vista 64bit. I was thinking that... but GOG has it labeled as compatible with Vista/XP, I'll have to get the standalone to try that as Galaxy installs the latest patch by default.

Ironically Trine 2 is working fine.
