Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

========================================================================================

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

timppu: (I don't know if there can be or generally is some on-the-fly compression/decompression of files during download, if the files are not compressed already? But I presume downloading 18GB of files really means downloading that much data, regardless of its compression rate (if any)).
On the fly compression/decompression is of course possible. It requires insane amounts of CPU power server side however. While your computer only needs to handle your download the server possibly has to serve (and thus compress, which also needs more CPU time than decompression) hundreds of clients at the same time.

You could compress all files and store them compressed on the server though and only decompress on the fly.

Or you could also solve the problem differently, for example by only using the Steam approach for updating and for installation you download the installers and start them with a special commandline parameter that makes them silent and report installation progress to Galaxy which shows it to the user.

And no, when on the fly compression is used downloading 18 GB doesn't mean that 18 GB were transfered over the net. You could download 18 GB of data that can be greatly compressed (e.g. an 18 GB big file filled with only 00-Bytes) almost instantly because that compresses to next to nothing.
I know I'm being lazy, but I need a gripe, so I'm posting without first searching this thread - as the damage has already been done.

As with others,
Galaxy couldn't find half of my installed games, despite all search requirements being met and no default directories being altered.

It also could not repair those it deemed corrupt - which were working fine![?]

So, to avoid the risk of duplicate installations and wasted drive space, I began to uninstall those either not discovered or deemed broken - while they weren't in such a condition.

That is...
until I came to uininstall Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut...
(which was also working fine via the link I previously imported to my Steam library)
...where the game UNINSTALLED THE ENTIRE GOG GAMES DIRECTORY!!!
...including the games that Galaxy did acknowledge being installed, and had correctly identified as functional - unlike the others.

*sigh* :-(

Where were you games installed? Only time I heard of games totally being wiped out was if they were installed in the GalaxyClient folder which they are not by default. This was suppose to be fixed though.

Do the following, giving as much detail as possible:

Just pointing this out because you said you didn't really read the thread. :)

Had a bug with The Witcher 3 DLCs today, Galaxy told me they were available and I installed the miner DLC and played a bit. I started Galaxy up some time later and wanted to play some more, but the game told me it was missing the miner DLC and couldn't load the save game.
So I had a look at Galaxy and now it doesn't display the two new DLCs anymore, just the old ones from last week. I installed the miner DLC manually and can load my savegame again, but Galaxy still hasn't noticed, that there are new DLCs and one is even installed...

There was a small problem with the servers today. DLCs 3&4 should be back to Galaxy very soon.
Why the Galaxy Client does not detect Witcher 3 patches, which got installed manually using exe files? Galaxy always reapplies the patch.

After discovering the beard DLC is permanent once you install it (save games wont work without it later), I think I'm going to hold off on installing any more DLC for now to see how the process smoothes out to some kind of equilibrium over time. Someone might want to try a DLC and then change their mind later without wanting to restart a 100 hour long game from the beginning again for example.

The shakiness of Galaxy and the website with getting the installers/updates is another reason I'm getting a little cautious also.

Yeah it's hard to understand why problems with the server connection would cause Galaxy to uninstall DLCs without any user confirmation.
Well, I can live with it as long as it works manually...
Make Galaxy stop reinstalling the Icons for Witcher 3 after every update. Especially if there was no real update but just a change in what DLC are available or not available for download. I do not want to manually delete that GoG.COM-Folder from my Start menu on each day nor the Witcher 3 Icon on the Desktop!

Thank you.
Is it possible to change GoG Galaxy, so it actually can install patches or DLC things, without the UAC window popping up ,asking for my password?
It really sucks, to play a game, especially and online game, and youre in a firefight and suddenly a window pops up and asks for the password, to install some "Witcher 3 content manager supervising installation assistant for DLC management". You cant even go back into the game until you either cancel, or enter the password. :/

Do you have "Create desktop icon" turned off in settings?
OK. Minor bug, but this has been bugging me (no pun intended).

Ever since I installed Ys 1 and 2, their icon on the sidebar is always loading. It never appears.

I know it's very minor, but it strikes me as something that's not going right (even if the games themselves work perfectly fine). And no, restarting Galaxy doesn't help.

Is it common? Does it happen only with Ys 1 and 2? Can it be fixed?
