Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

There is major deference between complaining about crap that has not been added yet and was in progress to complaining about features that have been messed up since early alpha. The damn updating does't work right because it downloads files already there and has been like that since it has started.

I damn well know it's a beta, but the major point of Galaxy is the update system, if it doesn't work right then there is zero point in Galaxy.

Eldur: Just tried to install The Witcher 3 via GOG Galaxy, until I noticed that I took the wrong drives for installing the games to. So I aborted hte installation process after downloading the files (lots of gigs) finished. When installing again to the correct path it starts downloading again. Are the installers being deleted? Or is it just a check routine and it sais "downloading" even though it doesn't do that? :)
avatar
BrianOConnell: Exactly the same here. Uninstalled Witcher 3 to re-install to SSD and now even though the originally downloaded files are still there it is busy re-downloading the whole lot. Ridiculous.
Wait, what files are still there? The installer files (.exe + .bins) or the actual installed game? If you mean the former, you can use them to install the game again without need for downloading. If you mean the latter, you could have just imported the folder to Galaxy (uninstalling should have removed the game files however).

After installing via GOG Galaxy, the install files are deleted completely - but then you'll get an option to download the installer files (practically: again) plus the extras files (but no one click for all option).

Galaxy can't handle installer files. If you're installing through Galaxy, it downloads the actual uncompressed game files, not installer files. Downloading the actual installer files as backups means you have to install the game manually, because Galaxy can't use them to install the game by itself.

That's why I answered the guy above. If by some weird glitch uninstalling the game through Galaxy had not removed the games files, he could have imported the containing folder into Galaxy. If he was talking about actual installer files, he could just use these to install the game again manually...
i am b
ad in playing this game can you help me ?? thx LIPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Hi, I dont know if anyone posted this but could you please add a time countdown while downloading a game.
So i could know when it will be approximately ready.
That would be great ;)

Edit: Sry, have not seen the wishlist.

yes, it has been suggested. See the first post for more info and http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy
so tracking doesn't work unless a game is explicitly run with galaxy. that's good. and smart. but as outside-Galaxy operation is still a big part of this site, you're encouraging games to be run outside Galaxy. but you want people to know what games other people are playing.

so, eventually, it might be a good idea to get galaxy detecting when a game is run, even if it's run from shortcut, even if it was run before galaxy started (galaxy detects the game is running when galaxy starts). in the case of people not wanting to be tracked, they could have a settings option set for that. though, even better, would be to allow configuration individually by game. either by a settings icon on each game's list entry in the left, or by a toggle or something on the game's Galaxy store page when you click its entry.

---I couldn't import witcher 1 to galaxy. so I can't announce.---

Galaxy sends out double messages for me sometimes in chat. happened with a few people so far. first time I've seen it today though. the client just updated today.

edit: ok I see. import button only works with Galaxy-aware games. manual import works for everything else. ok. that thing should be called "Import from Library"

I've tried searching for this issue but haven't found anything. Apologies if it's been covered already. When I'm trying to sign into Galaxy, I get an error: "An error occurred while signing in"

My email and password combination is definitely correct - I've even tried resetting the password to be sure. I've also allowed Gog Galaxy through my firewall (though I don't know where it's connecting to and what port it's connecting over - I've just put the application in the allowed list). Any thoughts?
Galaxy version of The Witcher 2 is not recognized by nVidia GeForce Experience.
GOG Downloader version is recognized without problems.

Yes, I've configured the path correctly in nVidia Experience.
Downloaded ENTIRE Witcher 3, Galaxy forcing me to redownload entire game again.
