1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

skeletonbow: Ok, I finally triggered the same issue and took screenshots and attached them + logs to your bug.
Ah okay good to know I'm not alone then... thanks. :)
Probably already discussed above, but can't find it: Is there any way to sort the installed games on the leftside list? They just appear the order I install them, and cannot sort them by name nor in any way. It's kind of clunky when you have dozens or hundreds of games.

Top left you got a little list icon, click it and then you can sort by name...

Yes, but your only other option is by name.

Just tried to install The Witcher 3 via GOG Galaxy, until I noticed that I took the wrong drives for installing the games to. So I aborted hte installation process after downloading the files (lots of gigs) finished. When installing again to the correct path it starts downloading again. Are the installers being deleted? Or is it just a check routine and it sais "downloading" even though it doesn't do that? :)

Exactly the same here. Uninstalled Witcher 3 to re-install to SSD and now even though the originally downloaded files are still there it is busy re-downloading the whole lot. Ridiculous.
I've got a fast line (100MBit/s), but it's downloading everything again :)

At least I will have it ready in time.

Edit: had a wrong look, still sais "downloading" :D

Okay this Galaxy issue is getting REALLY annoying... Dead State patch just released, I look at it on the site 4MB, already grabbed the Dead State: Reanimated patch the other day... turn on Galaxy, hit update, Galaxy wants to download over a GB for a 4MB patch. What the hell!!!

Please fix this... it's defeats the purpose of Galaxy if the standalone installers are doing a better job at updating.

Too bad the GOG Downloader links seem to be incomplete. In case of W3, there are none, and there are no links for the extras packages anymore. Before Galaxy came, I had to click 2 buttons to downoad everything for a single game, and one again to get both English and German versions. Just a s a side note, the old wooden bookshelf was much better in every regard. Seems the support of the Doanloader goes south, but Galaxy is no replacement for it yet. I expected it to be some kind of GOG Downloader 2.0 with some features known from Steam such as auto updates, social features, achievements and such.

In short: I'd be totally glad to have the GOG Galaxy download the game packages just like GOG Downloader does, and keep these files until I remove them by hand. I just want to be able to have all my stuff on an external HDD, but I've yet to download my whole library as I bought lots of games that I owned (boxes! :)) already when they were on sale.
It's just awful to do so at the moment... ;)

fangorn.796: So to backup your games you have to download it all over again? Why don't you just let us download the whole package as before without installing it automatically? It was very convenient to backup downloaded packages from gog before. I guess i just wouldn't use galaxy till you will make normal download/backup options. Not everyone can have a superfast unlimited connection, you know...

Venom: You can use Galaxy to download backup installers. Navigate to your Library, choose a game and go to "More" -> "Get Backup & Extras". You can download a standalone installer for each game and all the goodies.
It wasn't an option in previous version of the client(or did i miss it?), so everything i already installed - i have to redownload again. It will be nice if you can make a feature to backup games which already installed without need of redownloading them, like backup in Steam.

With two new updates flagged in my library (Realms of Arkania 3 and Blood) I tried to do what had become the customary thing of checking the view of the changed game, then going from there via the forum link to the forum. Maybe I missed something just now but when I click the little menu at the lower right corner of the game graphic, there is no option there to visit the game's forum. It would be helpful if there was so one can easily visit where updates have tended to be explained via posts usually from Judas.

Additionally, this time while finding other means to get to the forums for these two, there was a post about Blood gaining Linux support while there was zero indication about whatever changed with Arkania 3.

I hope this long outstanding issue if finally fixed with easily seen changelings right inside the GalaxyClient at some point and forever after beyond that. That would be lovely.
