I wanted to take advantage of the Witcher deal of five games for one price, so I attempted to make the purchase directly with my credit card. The Galaxy 2.0 client hung after I clicked purchase. I waited some time and it never recovered, and I then closed the client followed by restarting it. The games did not show under my account. I made this attempt a second time the exact same way. I got the same outcome, and I am not seeing the games under my account.

I again closed the client then restarted it. I made the attempt one final time, but this time I used PayPal. After I entered my PayPal credentials, I received an email from PayPal stating that funds were sent to GOG. I still do not have the games under my account. I opened a support ticket 14 hours ago with all these details, and I am seeing the support is behind and to expect delays.

Well, there's one free of charge game I attempted to add to my account. Guess what? I cannot even add a free one. Is GOG working for anyone for new game additions?

Never tried buying anything via Galaxy, but using the website does work.

For the free game, I see the same issue of the purchase button being disabled. It could be an issue where I am located with purchases. I would not think it is an issue related to my account, because I have only made a small number of purchases so far.

Also, there are three pending charges for the Witcher bundle showing on my credit card. It does look like something is broken with GOG payment processing. It looks like I will have to wait for support. I would rather not have more pending charges showing for content I am not receiving.
I just tried it one more time using the latest version of Opera. This time it worked, and the five games are added to my account.

I will have four pending charges for these same set of games, but three should fall off and be replaced with a single charge after a few days.

I am going to uninstall this BETA client and replace it with the latest stable version.

I use Firefox as my browser, but all sites are Google Chrome happy. I hate Chrome and will never install it.

I now have four posted charges of 26.95 US dollars to my credit card. Support is unresponsive so far. I will give them three days to refund three of these bogus charges before I dispute this stolen money with my bank.

Making additional attempts seems to have been a mistake.

I've had payment hang a few times, but I never got charged multiple times. Fingers crossed that support can sort it out.

Bugs are annoying, but dude.. you complained about a slow support at the start of the year and during the weekend + holiday.. come on.
People should be careful with chargebacks FFS.

Are they charges or holds?
For creditcards banks will often put a hold on the money for a period. It hasn't actually charged it but it kinda "reserves" it for when the charge is finalised. If it isn't finalised in an appropriate amount of time then the hold falls away. If the sale didn't actually complete then the charge shouldn't be finalised which is why I ask if it's a hold.

Unlike a charge, a hold doesn't actually take money away from you. It's not much of a difference in the end to you I guess. Either way, hopefully it'll get sorted out soon. Contact support to make sure though.

I think they will sort it out. Only once I had double charges and was refunded quite quickly. Don't reply on your support ticket unnecessarily as it will move it down in the queue for some reason. Worst case you can always try PMing Firek: https://www.gog.com/u/Firek
