I visited my Wallet, checked in, visited the GoG Galaxy page, and purchased The Witcher 3 GOTY and still have the 1000xp I started with.
No posts in this topic were marked as the solution yet. If you can help, add your reply

You just have to wait a few minutes.
It gets updated with a delay.
