Yes, I had it preordered here, but managed to get a refund. And I put about 10 hours in later on a steam version (not my account).
I have posted several times before what is wrong, but to summarise:
Bugs, everywhere, all the time, from graphical ones through collision meshes through broken dialog to crashes.
The company’s actions, lying to customers, shareholders, storefronts, buying reviews, etc.
The game itself, it fails at all the advertised points. The basis is an open world simulation, it is not. It’s a vast empty area with some billboards moving around in straight lines with no AI. Comparison to proper open world sims are out there:

It’s frankly laughably bad. Then there is the loot, they obviously thought borderlands was popular and wanted to do that, it doesn’t work, but will fit in nicely with their planned microtransactions. The dialog is pretty cringeworthy most of the time. No real difference in intro story. Bad driving controls. Broken stealth. Skills and add one make no difference. Didn’t really get to the story. Over world map is an eyesore. Graphically it’s ok, but very static, no idea where these thousands of objects interacting they keep on about are. There are other things but that will do for now.
And finally the future plans, they obviously built this as a multiplayer microtransaction fuelled money spinner, that’s clear from the mechanics. I suspect that due to it being removed from Sony, and being unfavourably received by those in the world not brought by CDPR has pushed that back somewhat, but that is what all this is about (I would even say the massive push of galaxy has been since the success of gwent).
So yes, not a lot good to say about it. I am sure they bug fix a lot, however it will not change the underlying broken mechanisms that has put this title on my all time worst list. Even patched it will only scrape a 3-4/10. It’s contributed to me not buying from gog at the moment, and I will not be buying anything from CDPR again. Was not sure why Witcher 3 was so popular, it was alright, have tried it several times and got to various amounts of hours before getting bored. I preferred the first one. So I didn’t have any preconceptions for this. I just played and thought it was really bad throughout the experience. Really can’t see why anyone would not of refunded this, but you can’t help everyone I suppose ;o)

I agree on this. If the OP had kept playing after receiving the refund, that would have been illegal and an abuse of the refund and the (mostly) DRM-free system. However, there is nothing illegal about playing the game that he wasn't refunded for yet. As long as the sale isn't refunded, he still 'owns' the game and it's not his fault that GOG stalls for three months.

Of course the fact that he apparently enjoyed the game after all, enough to sink 40 hours into it, means that he has got his money worth. So insisting on the refund after finishing the game is a dick move and if he had requested a refund after playing 40 hours, that request would and should have been denied. But if he really was granted that refund, he should have recieved it (and then deleted the game).

Of course we don't know whether Rokky really granted him the refund and not only said, for example, that he was considering it. There is no proof beyond the word of the OP and GOG is, as usual, silent.

I was about to mention - if there has been a misunderstanding like this, the fault still lies with GOG, as they had 3 months to clear it up.

Also, everyone assumes this is about Cyberpunk and focuses on those 40 hours he played, but the OP said it's a refund for the entire Ultimate Red Collection. And he only played Witcher 3 for a grand total of 10 minutes and the other CD Projekt RED games not at all.

I went in expecting the game to be terrible. What I found was a pretty enjoyable experience with some bugs that have frustrated at times. It has a lot of bare bones framework of something better. Missions that are repetitive and not nearly as unique as they were intended to be. I'm not defending the game, nor anyone's decision to refund it. I am simply wondering what you gain by trying to belittle people who are able to enjoy it just fine.

Frustrations aside (which I think we all can understand) I don't think posting on the forums/social media (unless it's done viah Jonah Hill gifs) will do much to help your issue outside of rasing is a neutral question. Disappointing the modding team have not posted in here at the least, but if anything it highlights my point. You'd be best off contacting them in your ticket which I would assume (given how you tell it) should still be open?

I did none of the above. I don't defend a game that is broken and doesn't deliver. I said I personally enjoyed it for what it is, and others have as well. I also never mentioned CDPR in my statements, much less defended the practices of CDP of empty apologies for rushing an unfinished product to market before it could be made ready and worked the developers half to death to meet impossible deadlines, as well as bowing to a Twitter mob sent by the CCP to keep a game from the GOG store. I despise all of it. I absolutely dislike it. But none of that has anything to do with my enjoyment of the game. That's all

Have you never thought about implementing an automatic system to process refund-requests? I know you don't store any payment data which I think was the reason given why this isn't possible. The solution could be to refund to store credit. You would also have to implement a payout system so a customer can transfer the credited amount to their bank/paypal or credit card account if they so wish to.

In cases a refund can not be processed automatically for whatever reason this could then be directly and automatically forwarded to a support person. Instead of having a customer reply to an automated mail, which - looking at several topics causes confusion, the support person processing the ticket can contact the customer directly. This way you would take that huge workload off your support group's back and they could concentrate working on other tasks.

In case you reply to this, please don't tell me that this shouldn't be possible. :)

No. You cannot ask people to be patient for half a year. I have taken my money elsewhere to people who deliver results instead of petty excuses. Shameful display, CDP pawns.

If they are backed up on support tickets there is nothing you can do about it.
