Beamdog, or rather Beambitch, belongs in the trash can, right below that thin layer of used con domes. They forced Steam to change reviews style some time ago, as well as convince them to aggressively purge negative reviews there with little to no reason, then they begged random players in forums to give positive reviews and word is, they sank even lower than that (like bribing people with free copies of their junk games, or trying to appeal to targeted audience, right after the natural backlash of mixing agendas in gaming).
Thanks for the confirmation by recent evidence towards this. I wouldn't "blame" GOG though, for this one. Everyone knows who is responsible. Beamdog shaft, i mean staff. And don't forget that "Beambard", that failed D&D writer who was hired by that joke of a company, to "enhance" and "fix" our games, who ruined our favorite old classics:
