Maybe you could "import" the old data so people could see the prices of games from before 2021? Maybe you could just display a gap where no data is available (2019-2021). It would still be helpful!

The old data is converted to the new format, but archived in a different file. Showing it might be possible with very little work.

There is no way to donate specifically for GOG DB and there very likely won't be one in the future. I don't want the project to generate any income, because while I did ask permission to use GOG.com assets for the site informally via the support system, there is no formal license agreement between me and GOG. Making money from it in any way would very much increase the likelihood of a lawyer taking interest and giving me trouble. I am working on other big projects though and if they ever become popular I might take donations for them. Thanks for being interested and sorry for the late response!

I'm planning to shut down old.gogdb.org because it's using much more space than the new version, especially now that it's running in parallel. Starting today the updater is disabled and the database dumps (backups_v2) will no longer receive new versions. I'll work on getting the old prices data shown in the new version so any reason to use the old version should be gone. If you're still using old.gogdb.org for any other reason, please leave a comment.

Edit: Viewing old prices is now implemented. Look for the link at the bottom of the prices table.

Maybe you have already talked about and I missed it, but there are no more links to files in the "Downloads" section in the new one, are them elsewhere?

I found them useful because although they always came from GOG they were different links from the ones related to the game on the official site (I assume they were on different GOG servers), they could for example be useful in case of problems with the integrity of a file.
They were also better arranged on the page.

For messages from those who believed they were available to everyone, you could write a default message on the download page specifying that you must have purchased the game and be logged into GOG to download them.

However I understand that to avoid any kind of problem it's better to let GOG fully manage the downloads.

They should be exactly the same files. Maybe you're comparing the redirect URL, ending with /en1installer0 for example, with the fully expanded URL, ending with the actual filename. I just tested a few games in my library and the links are the same.

Technically I could add a message, but think of the A E S T H E T I C S. Seriously, it wouldn't look good and also the downloads are no longer separated into files in the new design, so that's another reason it wouldn't work. Sorry that you liked the feature, but it's not coming back :(.

Is it possible to increase the capabilities of this tool? There's a lot of data you're already capturing that I'd love to be able to search for that the GOG store doesn't have. Specifically:

GOG Store Features
- Gamedevs
- Publishers
- Genre tags (specifically, being able to search multiple genre tag and/or exclude tags)
- Features
- Localizations
- Is using Dosbox, Supported systems (typo), Content system compatibility

Not Implemented by GOG Store
- Global release date
- GOG released date
- Is in development
- Packages
- Downloads (e.g., soundtrack, wallpapers, avatars, etc.)

Other Features
- Price range filters
- Currency option besides USD
- Last Updated (gives users an idea of the game is still being supported by gamedevs and/or rough indicator of being possibly delisted given gamedev inattention)

No, I was not referring to the redirect URL, there was an episode in which a user was able to download extras from the gogdb links that could not be downloaded from the official site (or they were corrupt, I don't remember exactly), I didn't find the topic quickly but since I think it's only me who finds them useful and practical, I don't insist any further, it's ok.

I would like to request another RSS feed that populates itself once per day by grouping all updated games in the period with their respective changes. That way it will be more clear to see what got updated.
