People that have specific games in their Steam account can link their Steam account to GOG and get said games.
There is also a promo going on with quite a few of the same games one can redeem from Steam to GOG.

Yes, I think it was about CD registration keys for certain games, but some Steam versions came with those keys, so you could activate them here, too. And it wasn't automated, you had to copy-paste the codes for each game individually.

JMich pointed out to me that the offers are time-limited, so I can probably still skip Steam.
All those non-Gog GAs I've always avoided, though..

There are some elegible games I have on steam that connect doesnt detect as I have them on steam, what should I do?

I finally got it to connect, but it can't find 2 games I own on steam, that's on it's list..

Unreal Gold & Unreal Tournament GOTY

I even re-installed it on steam, but that didn't help.
