With the summer sale over there at this other store running, I doubt many publishers and developers would look at Connect with good intentions. At least wait after this sale before saying that. Plus, we said the same of Reclaim, and they ended up disappointing our disappointments (heh) by letting us reclaim Master of Orion. So don't be hasty.

tinyE: For two thirds of the first movie. And even way before then Michael is clearly calling all the shots.
Michael is a little shit.

JMich: GOG offered Duke Nukem 3D as a freebie for all users at the end of 2014.
Are you sure? I believe it was offered for free at some point, but not while I've been here.
But your point stands. :)

You are correct, it was in 2012 that it was given out. Not sure why I thought it was 2014, but that's what happens when you look through the gift orders like that. In 2014 it was The Witcher 2 and The Gamers as a freebie, for the Fall sale.

I didn't think a freebie whore like me could've missed something like that. =D

noir_7: Whatever. GOG doesn't have to give anybody anything. Its cool when they do but I'm not gonna whine when it doesn't happen. If I want a title that bad I'll just buy it.
Pagan Min: "If you give food to monkeys, they just throw their shit at each other."
Yeah, but GOG has given no sense of how temporary/long they've expected it to be. It was poorly implemented when it first came out and hard to find now. I just created a new post because I couldn't find it, which apparently quickly got pushed down by people posting in other threads.

GOG should be doing more to keep it findable when there aren't any games and have and explanation shown as to what the current situation is. There's nothing really clear at gog.com/connect as to what the status is.

omega64: Why would they offer anything during the Steam Sale?
That would just ensure people buy stuff there right now and redeem it here.
Because it actually means that people do come here. I mean, looking into this was why I came here this time. I regularly use Steam and appreciate Galaxy, but rarely open it. Besides GOG.com isn't doing it without publishers giving the product to them for free to give to us for free, (at least they shouldn't be) and I would buy some things on the Steam sale over others right now if they offered a free copy here too.

I repeat. GOG doesn't have to do anything!
They can give games away once and leave you hanging forever. They don't have to explain themselves.
A sense of entitlement doesn't entitle you to anything.
It is up to the devs/publishers NOT GOG ALONE.
noir_7, let me introduce you to a concept apparently unheard of in your world called customer relations and the buyer seller relationship. It has nothing to do with "entitlement" and everything to do with who is going to want to do business with who.
