You will have to wait.
There is nothing GOG can do about this.
Too many people are trying at once and the API has a limited amount of calls it can do per day.

And don't make new threads for something like this.
There already tons of them.
Just read the responses to those.

Do people think that this is a support forum or something? It's not. They've literally already stated on the Connect page itself that you'll have to be patient and it might take a while for it to work since they're flooded with people trying to sync their accounts. Give it, at the very LEAST, 24 hours.
Same here too. Last night i connected both my accounts and it told me to check back later. Today morning I come back and it tells me that there has been an error and that i should try again.

Only problem is I dont know how as refreshing the page just gives me the same error message.

Now im worried whether many of us will get the free games at all since it is for a limited time only.
