well I did a fresh os install for other things as well just so I could isolate any issues

its not us.. its gog galaxy, and there is nothing BUT beta, even with beta channels OFF..
steam works fine just 1 achievement on xbox and steam is wonky just 1 not all

i dont mean just the flood in gog

there are so many issues with galaxy and no way to opt out of beta client back to a stable achievement working client.

Of course there are issues with Galaxy and you can find it's in beta state on the download button. There are also issues with achievements and overlay. Nothing really unusual. About two years ago or so, removing Steam client on linux also deleted whole user directory as far as I can remember, even after years is far from being perfect.
I am not the only one with working Galaxy, actually it works quite well for most users. So, let me repeat one more time, if you want issues fixed, cooperate or wait.

but no I came here to see if there was an option to roll back to a working non beta galaxy or work around for all these issues mentioned by me and others.

Just tired of the GOG forums ( whom I adore vs steam forums)
telling me its my rig or my cables or modem etc.

as you know mike its gog client, but the last time this happened it was a game patch that fixed the games achievements and a gog patch to fix galaxy

has to be both not just one.

though again they changed the CONNECT to steam page now so it works
my guess is the buttons werent working due to some odd mislink or popup or such in the UI

dont know though but that IS working now..

Kaldire, there is no such a thing like non beta galaxy : ) That's the whole point. Even official thread clearly says: GOG GALAXY BETA

and of course complaints are vaild, but please, take a look at the very first post in this thread and check the date and attached pictures. I believe that build was first open beta test, has completely nothing to do with your issue..
Now look at your cery first post: doesn't sound like a tech post, does it?
Believe me, reporting issues (with logs!) at mantis does a lot. I'd say. one log worth dozens of posts : D

it was an option to pick beta now its beta on always so whats the point of the OFF ON beta thing?

ughh mate your one of my friends on gog, but seriously pls stop trying to insult the posts I make claiming they arent tech posts

they fixed that issue, it was their end on the UI page, for the connect now to steam.

now for the crashes that happen oh every hr or so while in games
its very very annoying, no logs, no reason of what is causing it.
windows logs are clear nothing in them about galaxy failing

nothing about witcher 3 failing either (as the game runs without galaxy just wont tally achievements)

sucks that this happens mid tourney where i have to exit, start it over from start and hope
1. galaxy doesnt crash
2. the game pops the achievements.

facepalm I love gog, just should have done this on steam
so far lack of support on this topic is vast

Open beta started in May, about thirteen months ago, but that's not the point. Please, check attached image. Setting Power management mode to Prefer maximum performance in my nVidia control panel helped a lot with overlay issues.

Now, you may find Galaxy logs in %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\logs path.
and The Witcher crashlogs in \The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin\x64

that when it says galaxyclient stopped working close and report

it makes no log due to the fact that galaxy never closes.. never makes an error log

witcher 3 never crashes.. no log

power management was set how you stated already..
unsure what else to try..
the crashing is very annoying

Logs are created whenever Galaxy starts. I really don't want to reboot to windows, but looks similar on the picture.
Only the path should be more like c:/ProgramData/GOG.com/Galaxy/logs
Already told you, disable overlay and see the if problem still persist.

sadly im going for achievements which is the overlay but heck if it stops the crashing

whats again odd is nothing closes, yes says it crashes.

no crash dumps but yea in the log files I just thought had nothing to do with crashing, there are those few lines over n over of stopserving and com service stopping.

You may .zip them, I promise I will take a look. Maybe not now, (it's 1.15am here) but I will.

You may safely delete them if you want. Or move somewhere. With Galaxy turned off of course.

btw, Achievements will still work without overlay, which is only for pop-ups really. Don't you find it immersive breaking?
