I hate GOG it always has to have a gotcha that comes with it's games. Heard about the new No Mans Sky update and decided to give a try. Sadly I bought the game on GOG. In GOG's version of the have to play in 3rd person now. It wasn't that before when the game was really wasn't a game. Now that it may be a game GOG has to ruin it by degrading it. Way to go GOG. You lose me forever you low life's.
Steam Swallows

WAIT A MINUTE!!!!
YOU"RE PLAYING IT!

I went to check your profile and you're playing NMS! XD Kind of hard to take someone seriously when they condemn a game, condemn where they got it, avow they are done with the site and the game, and then go right back to playing it.

You cant do the switchy thing in the utilities menu in the gog version? remember that it has to be set each time for foot and ship.

Isn't No man's sky the game with huge planets, but no content?
Why would anybody want to play that anyway?
Make sense.

Going to fully ignore the Troll/Bait and help as someone with this issue may search this and hope for a fix.

PC players can bring it up by pressing the X button, while PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players can press and hold the down button on their controller's directional pad. Once the menu is up, select Utilities, then navigate to the side to find the Camera Mode option: select it to toggle between third-person and first-person viewpoints.

As a note every single version of No Man's Sky with the NEXT patch will default you to 3rd person and you will need to switch.

Secondary note, the processes can be repeated in a ship to go from 1st to 3rd person view.

While you can switch between third and first person, there are certain parts that always go third person automatically, such as when jumping to another system or when using terminals (or was it the teleporter?) I do wish there was an option to keep it in first person to maintain the immersion.

When I checked out v1.5, I used my save game and it defaulted to having me in first person, both on foot and in ship. I don't know if starting a new game is different.

It does look bad, I went on the steam forum (GOG doesn't have a NMS forum) and found out how it worked. Also had problem with accessing inventory, again Hello Games didn't think that was something you would need to know. Looks like Mr Murrey is still a jerk. Anyway thanks for the replys.

Did a search said that there were no forums. Typical misinformation for GOG.

Go here: https://www.gog.com/forum

Start typing "no man's sky" into the Find specific forum box.

Congratulations, you just found the forum.
,,,the competition away!

...the three little piggys' houses away!

...was not a lackluster Amiga fighting game, you are probably thinking of Body Blows instead!

That was 2016; they added a lot of stuff. Here is a comparison of back then and now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTFFJ0XzNr4
