Psyringe: I remember making the same mistake when I started playing Blood Bowl. I didn't have any background from playing the board game either, and it's one of the many little idiosyncrasies in the interface. Once you've run into it, you know how to prevent it in the future, but without prior playing experience, you probably _have to_ run into it to notice it.

Hawk52: Yeah. I'll never make that mistake again.

This one just stings, given the situation. EA would have still won since I couldn't stop his passes, but I'd have atleast made a better show of it.
...there are bunch of similar sort of err "features" - like skill use. I the first time i got piling on, the game didnt ask me whether i want to use it or not, but used it always. Had to change the settings for that manually + for few other skills as well.

Also one thing ive learned how to do, but i suppose not everyone knows:

Does someone admit they dont know how you can blitz by blocking the player next to you and THEN moving? I missed one crucial goal in the beginning of the league by not figuring out that in the middle of the match.

I knew you COULD do it, but it took me a while to figure out HOW to do it!

I know how to do that.
But only because E_A showed me.

As you and Rod didn't explain how to do it, shall I?

You just need to click the blitz icon on the sidebar before blocking.
The issue I had was finding the damned icon....
And you need to follow up to keep moving...didn't do that in my last match which left a Chaos Warrior out of position which might have prevented my ballcarrier loosing the ball :<

What? If you don't choose follow-up after the block of your blitz action the action ends and you cannot move anymore?

No. But for some reason the game deselects the player after the blitz and you have to remember to reselect him and complete the blitz action before activating any other player or the rest of the blitz is wasted.

I know that. I wonder whether it is different (a bug?) in the Legendary Edition Werecrow uses.
Just lost a game versus Moggrym 0:1, not even Borak could save the day.

Moggrym really has a good team, lots of leveled up players, couldn't land a proper punch to break that AV 7.

dodge is dodgy without tackle.

even snotlings can (at times) feel invulnerable if you dont have either block nor tackle.
I've just played Pogo.

We were supposed to play last night, but Pogo postponed due her supplications to Nurgle.
Today she was sufficiently recovered to make the pitch, & Nurgle clearly heard her prayers.

EVERY kick off event went her way.
First a blitz, then a quick snap.
Then an extra reroll.
I can't remember what the last one was, but it was her way again.

NOTHING I did worked.
I think Tyrano Saurus passed 2 bonehead rolls all match.
I failed more foul appearance rolls than I passed.
Those damned Tentacles were superglued to my skinks.

It took me to turn 15 to break her armour & even then, the best I could do was a KO.
My saurus were being removed from the pitch at an alarming rate, so I foolishly used my apo to heal a KO to keep some numbers, then poor Styraco Saurus falied a GFI & died.

In contrast, I don't think her beast ever failed a really stupid roll.
She was passing the ball around with confidence, dodging with the skill that should have belonged to my skinks.

In the end, she took pity on me & scored with 2 turns still on the clock.
So I grab the ball with my best sure-footed skink & blitz the defender out of the way (This was my only ko of the game).
The skink starts off at a srint & double 1's the first gfi.
Luckily pogo couldn't pick the ball up, so I could blitz his beastman out of the way.
The skink did his job 2nd time around.
Of course, at this point I didn't care if he scored or not.

I just wanted the match over.

Final score 2-1 to DinoSaurus, who are even now lifting the league cup :D
But it came at a heavy price...

Yeah, you heard me right.

DINOSAURUS HAVE WON THE TITLE!!!!!!

It's been an interesting campaign & even though it's not over yet, none of the other teams can reach the dizzy heights of 30+ league points.

So while I have to wait another week to lift the trophy, they are engraving our names on it as we speak....

Looking back over the season:
There have been a lot of fun games against some great opponents.
Pirinjade in particular has been a great sport, even after all those casualties.
I remember killing 2 of her skaven in the first match.

Speaking of killing players, I've been particularly lucky with injuries on my own team.
I've only had 3 injuries worse than miss next game.
However, 2 of those were fatalities.
It seems that lizards don't bend, but they do break....

It's pretty cool to have not lost a single game (I guess NoHit might have something to say about that, but we'll see...).
There's something for you all to aim for next season :D

Anyway, thanks to everyone who has stuck it out & made it a joy to play each week.
If you haven't already done so, SIGN UP FOR NEXT SEASON:

Congratulations for winning the first GoG BB Season, Rodzaju.

I´ve played my match against NoHit and it was rather onesided. I managed to inflict some injuries and K.O.´s early in the game and controlled nearly the whole first half. Second half wasn´t much different, after i grabbed the ball.

Overall he had bad luck with the dices. 2:0 for the Gits.

Yeah, I saw you'd MNG'ed a couple of his players.
Much appreciated :D
CONGRATS ON THE TITLE, ROD!

I'm very happy that after my team value went down to 630 or something like that I actually managed to rebuild the team and have a lot of fun in the rest of the season. Thanks to all the lovely people who motivated me!

Nevertheless I did a preliminary "body count" (still have one match against Werecrow's Chaos team so this might change), so far I have sustained 45 CAS including the ones I "inflicted" on my team myself (falling down when dodging and all that) NOT including the 7 DEATHS I sustained.
So yeah, 45 CAS and 7 DEATHS. Wow.

Still, I'm looking forward to the next season. :-D
Apparently my team is quite good at bouncing back so I might just keep on playing it. Maybe.
