WereCrow: Wow I can't believe that all of the best teams from my division, the Elves and now the Maidens, the ones that were outright dominating have all been eliminated in the playoffs now.
If we neglect the usual blood bowl crazyness it would be interesting to see what where the specific reasons that the second division has a lot more going for it than the first.
Nevertheless congratulation to the winners of these quarterfinal matches!
I also want to thank all of our participating coaches for a nice, fun and enjoyful season. In terms of ranking in my divison it was the best I ever had and I also got to play some of the best and most nail biting matches so far in my BB career!
I don't know when I will be back, however. Since I am working late shift and usually busy during the day it was difficult for me to find the right motivation to sit down for 2 hours and play BloodBowl. Granted often inside the matches I did see that it can be a lot of fun playing it.
But I also saw how annoying it can be having to watch your opponent think for a very long time and then perform all available actions in the last 10 seconds.
I also want to say that finding and setteling on a time with my opponents was just horrible at times, espceially when playing with opponents from overseas. There is no single hub on which communication happens, some prefer gog messages, some like me the steam client.
It made things too complicated and it was difficult to keep track when people would be available and when not. Add that to my above stated lack of motivation, it felt grueling to try and find just the perfect time.
I do have more time now since I am done with Uni, but unless I start working from home completely or have a job with a more flexible schedule I doubt I will be rejoining the league soon.
Thanks again for lots of fun and undoubtedly I will stay in touch with all of you. Good luck on the field!
well, I mostly relied on oddsdefying rolls during the league; and they were non existant in my last 2 games ;)
In the quarters it was quite the opposite actually, failed to pick up the ball with 4 amazons around the ball and 1, and say 1 mummy...ball rolls to the Mummy who rolls a 6 and stands there befuddled with the ball in his hands f.e. ;)
I also still have a lot to learn (this was my 3th season) about position and stalling and not wanting to make the beautyfull throw/td.
The Amazons were fun and deceivingly strong, but give me the grace of elves anyday ;)
