Cage breaking isn't easy.

A rough tactic is: Blitz one of the pillars of the cage to get him down or at least pushed away, then get as many players at the ball carrier as possible hoping that you can take him down next turn.

And I recommend having a look at this instead of reading the manual:

Then try a beginner-friendly team such as humans or Orcs and have fun!

Not to much blood, but a lot of stunning moves can be found there. Match ended 1:1

Orcs or dwarfs.

Seriously. Play say 5 games with either of those and come back to other teams after that.

Both are robust and have good bashing ability -> means you get stuff done by accident, dont lose players so easily and also have higher chance and blocking.

Vampires are one of the most challenging teams and also somewhere at the very end if you think about the team in competetive sense. Vanilla undead are pretty good pick as well, but id still start with either orcs or dwarfs.

The match between Ghiro's Oger team and my Underworld team was crazy. I don't know why I ever tried to play seriously and avoided horrible risks in the past. Nuffle favoured me today. The Big and Heavy Fists had 15% ball possession. And they threw a snotling at my players.
The game ended 0-3.
