Not to mention my team couldn't seem to dodge a stationary bus today, so the Chaos Dwarf's poison grass pitch took out as many of my guys as his fists

I'm pretty sure this has been asked before but I forgot the answer:
Does the Halfling that could have died but was saved by the Apo count towards the Halfling Dead Score?

It was an intense match and the first of this season where I did not have any inducements, the halflings had enough for one babe.

We were envious of the 'flings 2-2-0 record and went in hoping to make sure a few never left the pitch. The fact I couldn't convince everyone to take off their mittens combined with the halfling's dodginess and that fact they won't stand still, means that much of the first half we were just pushing them around. Fortunately the 'flings had no problem injuring themselves. Splinter the WW figured out that if we couldn't knock them down at least he could push one into the crowd. Then four halflings ganged up on him and with a nice two part block surfed him as well, KO'd. One of the trees took root but it was the one with grab so he kept his punching bag zombie close by.My brand new WW Lupin was able score using a cage of zombies on turn 6.


On the kickoff I totally forgot about the threat of a TTM touchdown but got a perfect defense and was able to move a couple guys back just in case. The flings used their reroll on picking up the ball and then the tree rolled THREE red skulls. We ended up being able to put enough tackle zones on the tree but the TTM was never attempted as I blitzed the ball carrier with the downed zombie and knocked the ball into two of my tacklezones..

Second Half I was again concerned about TTM, but the flings decided to grind at the speed of a tree and moved the ball one square up the field at a time, it was about this time I finally got my players to take off their mittens but the halflings must have gotten a halftime sandwich or something because it seemed like every block in a two turn span resulted in broken armor. They even got their only injury of the game when the broke a zombies neck with a foul, but he snapped his neck back in place and walked off the field. I left one side of the field wide open and he used TTM which the fling stuck the landing and scored on turn 12.

We caged up and plowed down the field seemingly always surrounded by halflings, Lupin was about to punch a hole through the final defense on turn 15 and Sarevok rolled double red skulls trying to open the last space. After they repositioned and knocked Splinter out of the game again, we pushed the two halflings off of Lupin. Then Lupin had a clear shot at the endzone but needed a GFI with no reroll. The rookie came through in the clutch and got a level up out of his first game.

Next week back to being an underdog.

Good question. What about the zombie that was injured but regenerated, does that count as a CAS for the 'Flings?

Piranjade was very unlucky in today's match.

Things did not go well for Piran, with vital Really Stupid rolls failing, and failed dodges.

Leon was useful this match, with a badly hurt troll stomp (which sadly regenerated), a badly hurt kick (+2 spp!) and a ko stomp before the ref threw him out of the match, can't complain.

Oddly, I encountered a bug in this game where I could not leap with the ball carrier, so odd.

The pure elves won 2-0. Thanks Piran for the game.

Woo boy: A doubles for my thrower. As tempted as I am to take guard *again*, Strong arm takes the choice. This guy will be throwing huge passes.

Well, let's say I can't claim the same. My Werewolf finally realized his complete and utter uselessness and decided to improve the team by retiring to the big feast in the sky despite (or due to) the efforts of the apothecary.

Inspired by this my Yeti decided to show his team spirit by adapting his Armour Value to that of his teammates.And since the team decided that he shouldn't be the only one with a stat loss one lineman joined with a -str.

Extremely fun and extremely bloody match (we removed about one team worth of players from the pitch - 9 Cas, 1 Death). In all the total opposite of Pirans match - lots of gore but a lot of fun for everyone.

Anyways, Psyringe and I played yesterday. It was a stressful game that ended in a 3-3 tie. Worth the watch I'd say. normally I'd have a more vivid description of the game but i'm super tired haha.
