unfortunately you need the game to do that. However, on the first post of the thread, there are some links and stuff - youtube videos among others. They should give you some kind of idea whats going on.

The max game time is 4mins per turn, 16 turns per player -> 128mins, but ofcourse you dont always use the full time...actually its rather easy to fail in the first 5seconds.

However if you like speedier games, there are other tournaments that play real blitzes like 30s per turn. I think(!) the fastest default public ladder is 2mins/turn (Naggaroth Open).

The game may seem comlicated, but the core rules arent really all that difficult. Just choose a robust team (no stunties or av7 ;) and youll get the ropes after few games. I cant bring myself to enjoy the single player, but it IS good way to practice game rules and interface. Actually i think the game interface is sometimes far more trouble than remembering the essential rules.

Search 'TGS blood bowl league' on youtube, should give lots of tube videos about newbiesh blood bowl league played by the TotalBiscuit and his crew. I have to admit i personally really dont care for some of the personalities...but the videos DO give a good idea of (newbie) play.

...i am not aware of "high quality" gameplay videos (skillswise) - but i am sure there have to be some of those hidden in the depths of the 'tube.

4-1 for Ebenezer_Arvigenius. First time I really got mad at the game because of the positioning bug. Randomness is the name of the game, but when you get screwed by the game for one thing you can affect...

E_A vs. DodoGeo. He suffered from an untimely early Blitz event which allowed me to snatch a completely unguarded ball in the backfield. Continued Wild Animals on his Minotaur Blitzes also didn't help his game any.

Top this up with an (albeit to my mind less severe) positioning bug and you get an fairly unenjoyable game for the the Spikes I'm afraid :-(.

A fairly close run game against the Dangerous Gits.
Though I'm afraid their dangerous reputation was not entirely in evidence.
The 2 trolls between them managed to Tyrano Saurus, who then proceeded to sleep away the match, but that's about it.

Ended 3-2 to Dinosaurus.

The match between Nurgle Lymphocytes and Misgits ended 0-1.
It was a quite uneventful match.
The beast basked in the sun on the field, not wanting to hurt anybody, and then lay around in the KO box for a while, joined but some of its team mate.
The Underworld Skavens refused to catch any ball that had at some previous point been touched by a Nurgle.

So, 1 TD, a couple KOs, one goblin will miss the next game and that's it.

If you catch the bomb, you HAVE to throw it on.
Don't know if you can use HMP with it though.

Yeah, I know that I have to throw it and if I wait too long, it will explode in the hands of the player who caught it (happened to me). I'm really just wondering about HMP.
On the one hand I think it's a normal pass and everything that normally can be used to throw the ball should be available for use then, but on the other hand HMP is a skill that you need to choose to use so maybe you cannot activate it in your opponent's round.
(But then it would work if a player on the Bombardier's team catches the bomb because it's that player's turn which would make an odd difference between the two teams with one side being able to use HMP and the other not.)
