WBGhiro: Bah. Dwarfs. Dwarves is what I'd tell people I don't like to begin playign so they'll give up quickly. Trying to watch a dwarf team slowly waddle the ball into the endzone is just sad.
...but if you give them frenzy they may move one extra square per turn :P

Dwarfs and more or less all the undead teams need some different kind of thinking speedwise. It can be surprisingly difficult to keep the fast and slow players together.
I would say that the teams that come with the Blood Bowl board game are very beginner-friendly - orks and humans.

Not as slow as dwarves (which might require more patience to score than somebody who is new to the game might have), no really complicated skills (I don't think that frenzy is really beginner-friendly for example) but still enough stuff to learn about BB.
And in the course of the league both teams have enough potential to stay alive and score.

Edit: I finally got around to sending a PM to one of the Blues to get this thread renamed. :) Let's see what happens.

I keep getting a weird bug where during the line up one of my ogres just disappears from the pitch (When I press accept the game even tells me I don't hav eenough players on the pitch), and reappears on a random place in my half afterwards. Does anyone know what's up with that?
Here is a cabalvision replay of my match vs Ghiro. Not many snotlings stayed on the pitch, cowards. They will be on spinach diet from now.

Who wants to see a scoring ogre, watch the replay!

I had that with the Yehetee in my last game.

Couldnt see him and also got the same warning message. Then the timer run out and yehetee suddenly popped in middle of my half of the pitch...so basicly inthe most useless place you could put him..

Its weird. Should probably try to ask around if someone else knows more about it.

That sounds like an (in)famous bug from the Legendary edition. If they still haven't managed to fix it, then they never will, since the last programmer left the project in January (I think). I'd ask in the official forums, perhaps a workaround has been found in the meantime. About a year ago (when I was active in Blood Bowl), there was kind of a gentlemen's agreement in place that players would abandon the game and start fresh if one of them ran into a line-up bug (like the "12th man on the pitch" bug, but I think that one was fixed).
So there's no support for the game any more?

It works ok, but it's never a nice thing when they abandon their product.
So I suppose it should be a somewhat rare issue? It happens every other drive to me :(

E_A had the same issue in his last game.
Strange. I wonder why the bug is suddenly popping up.

I've just played Moggrym's Amazons.

First kick off was a pitch invasion.
I was left with 5 players on their feet.
I'm thinking, coupled with all his players having Dodge & 8 block that it's going to be one of those games.

Most of the first half was a big punch up in the middle of the pitch, while my skinks snuck away down the wing.
I got 1 square away from scoring & ruthlessly sat there while the fight went on.
Annoyingly for the number of blocks being thrown, there was very little blood.
I think there was only 3 KO's the whole match (2 girls & a Saurus).

He finally disengaged enough to threaten my skinks on turn 6, so I scored, rightly predicting that he would not be able to equalise in 2 turns.

2nd half he dodged through & threw the ball to a waiting receiver about 4 squares short of my endzone.
I mobbed her with skinks & then sat surrounding the ball with as many players as I could.
More uneventful bashing as he tried to free the ball & I tried to keep on top of it.

All in all a scrappy 1-0 win, but then 1-0 is still a win...
Oh and my block Kroxy now also has Guard!
;-}

This has been posted in the UKBBL forums:

"I know in Blood Bowl it was so that if you selected an opposing player when they were setting up you might end up not being able to field one of your players..."
Blackrock Berserkers 1 - MooMoo Cows 0

Very odd game. WereCrow had some of the worst luck I've ever seen, but still nearly decimated my entire team. And yet, when it came to being in position to score, the star player was Farral Rottenbull the lesser of my two Centaurs. He scored the only TD of the game off an amazing dodge and go for it (twice), and was narrowly stopped two other times from scoring by Chaos Warrior dives. Most of the game was fought around mid field in a bloody war aside from Rottenbull's jukes and dodges.

Yeah I still regret that loss....its partly due to my risky ball play that usually led it right into my opponents hands, but it was a very good game nevertheless. I had some bad luck in the beginning...like the same exact block dice being thrown after a reroll (and passing the loner test too!) and his +1AG Bullcentaur was just unstoppable no matter how many times I actually tried to stop it!

But I played well and I think I made the right decisions. I tried to hold down his important players for scoring those TDs like the Hobgoblins and Centaurs and even managed to remove his Minotaur for most of the game, alas it was for nought. Seriously that bullcentaur will hjaunt me in my nightmares >v>
Just a general information: Pogopuschels whole area is without internet and telephone. It looks like tonight's game will have to be rescheduled :-(.
Does anybody know what these race specific spells are?
I got this message while waiting for the coin to stop spinning when I wanted to be the spectator in a community game..

Wizards only offer tow spells as far as I know, or did they change that? Or is this a completely different option that you can choose to include into the game?

PS Spectating games can be so much fun! I watched a Goblin team with a Bombardier that has the Hail Mary Pass skill. It was wonderful!
