Norse-Chaos -> I faced DodoGeo's chaos horde erm, team and yet again - a not-so-glorious blood bath:

Berserker dead. Again. Other berserker miss next game. Again. Str4 lineman dead, and then rest of the CAS. :X

My start was bad, i was kicking of and still for some odd reason i thought i would get the first turn and put all my men on the line of scrimmage - which was ofcourse plain bad idea. I suffered for it.

Some turns in i managed to push was it three beastmen into crowd - but i was getting ko'd and cassed, while Dodo's dudes jumped happily back in on the second half. I think i had four or five men standing just before the match ended. However, Nuffles irony isnt without merit - Nuffle awarded me the most undeserved 1-0 win ever.

I didnt really have players and all except one were stuck in bad way, the ball ended up going to crow ...and then on the other side of the pitch just next to the single lone player who then managed to run TD. Yay me, but I must say i hadnt earned that one by any kind of skill or merit.

The replay is in the usual google drive, first post.
I played Stampede in the Open League today.
In an almost carbon copy of my league game against Dodo, I spent most of the game mopping my lizard's blood of the pitch.
He won 2-1 but it could so ewasily have been 3 or even 4 - 1.
It has been requested that I post the replay, so:

Yay! I get to play this week!

Picked me up a Minotaur with my bye week winnings. At 4-3, I can still make a run at this by golly.
I made an Undead team for the Open league, so if anyone is for a game just msg me on Steam.

Picking a Chaos team for starters seems now like a not so good idea as a lack of skills really hurts, Undead look more balanced that way, yet really similar.

I will approve the team when I get home approximately 4pm uk time.

I think you already did, I submitted them 2 days ago (not sure though, the interface is such a mess).

The normal undead team?

Just be careful with the ghouls. They do nice, fast blitzers after they get block, but av7 and -no- apo nor regen means they can get hurt pretty easily if blodge fails....not that the apo has helped me one bit in my past few games (almost makes me want to play with all-regen khemri :)

Indeed, I have done so.
I thought you had submitted another team :)

Well the idea was that most of the team has Regeneration and Block, so re-buying Ghouls is included collateral.
I was torn between Undead and an Ork team.
orcs Are more solid, 4block, 4str4, troll, 99% av9... Its Very newbie friendly and competetive team. One of My favorites.

Chaos is pretty brutal once they get block on the warriors. They seem to be more of a long run type of team. Once you get those skills and mutations going, they're deadly.

Chaos are one of the most difficult teams at low tv as there are simply no skills. So yes, later of when you start of have several lvl3 players, the ass kicking pontential is starting to snowball into something totally different..

I like chaos for the fact every player has huge potential, but any newbie id recommend rather orks, dwarfs, chaos dwarfs, vanilla undead maybe high elves or dark elves if ag4 play is -must-...but i dont think any of the elven teams is for really noob. All the passing, expensive players and ag4 trickery isnt exactly noob friendly.

Amazon and norse can be hit-miss, but they both are also teams that can suffer brutal losses in single match compared to say orks (av7 vs av9 *str difference).

the simple truth is that the game is more enjoyable to play, when you have players both on the pitch and alive in the team in the first place.

Dwarf is a team I'd recommend for learning the game for sure. Ignore their special weapon player (for simplicity sake) and just play them as a durable super bashy team. They aren't the strongest team but everyone having block and players with tackle makes them deadly.

Thats exactly how i learned to play the game against computer. Lots of dwarf bashing :)

Lack of speed is the only bad thing about dwarfs really, everything else is pretty easy to overcome really. Dwarfs rock straight out of the box, without any silly leveling nonsense.
Bah. Dwarfs. Dwarves is what I'd tell people I don't like to begin playign so they'll give up quickly. Trying to watch a dwarf team slowly waddle the ball into the endzone is just sad.
