Khorne and dark elves are about to step on the pitch!
Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone.
Taking to the pitch in MOTHER of all finales.

(ahem)

Amazons-Necros. RIGHT NOW!
Khorne - Darkelves -> 2-1 for the Skullthorne

Ohboy did we finally get a match worthy of Khorne!

Bloodthirster TD! Bloodthirster MVP! Bloodthirster does his 2nd CAS ever, which is DEAD just as his first cast was - but darkelf apo knows is business and the elf may return for more bea...BB. However MY apo does NOT know his business -> and my lvl2 Fad Bloodbath suit pitfighters skull got added to team team coaches personal skullchair.

...which naturally means darkelves dont need to return Naggaroth empty handed: Realrocker is so far the first to get the world renown bounty of 6usd worth of GOG games. Let me know what you want and ill send it your way ;)

Ill be adding the reply to google drive shortly.
2-1 loss to the 'zons.

Insanely compressed luck in the end of the game for the Amazons.

I just moved huge amount of replay to google drive, but noticed there are still bunch missing. Nothing new, nor the end of the world - but:

I would like to remind everyone, that anyone can upload files here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B0DuDXuxRgeAc2lJSEdCNTRGQWs&usp=sharing

Its "temp" folder for anything in this league and its totally public folder. Anyone with the link can edit.

If you could put the replay file there + if you like, to your "own" other dropbox or whatever you like to use, it would be helpful. Putting the files to just that temp google drive is enough however.

It is just far easier for me or some other admin to collect all the replays from one folder for archiving rather searching and clicking separate links.

Thanks.
As already mentioned above, my 'zons had the honor of playing Zeta's farewell match.

This was another extremely weird match. In the first half, pretty much nothing worked for me. Dodges failed, GFI's failed, three 1-die blocks which just needed a "push" ended up showing skulls every single time, my catchers didn't catch, the necros scored a touchdown, and when I lined my team up for a hopefully quick equalizer, we rolled a "perfect defense" event. Thus, the necros led 1-0 after the first half.

The second half started with another "perfect defense" for the necros and another failed catch for the 'zons, and it almost looked as if I wouldn't even be able to keep the ball. However, a quick switching play and a few lucky dodges resulted in the 1-1 equalizer.

Knowing that I would need a victory to reach the play-offs, I decided to risk it all and played an extremely aggressive last 4 turns. And suddenly, almost all the blocks, dodges, and GFIs worked. The necros seemed impressed by the sudden onslaught, tried to switch sides, and lost the ball. My zons failed a crucial pickup in turn 15 though, and it looked like the game would end in a draw, since I had only one single player in scoring distance, and she was marked and far away from the ball. However, she managed to dodge her way to the endzone. Meanwhile, at the line of scrimmage, my players had opened a path, and one of them ran through and passed the ball to my waiting player in the endzone. Contrary to what happened throughout the match, this move succeeded, and I scored the winning touchdown in my last turn.

In hindsight, it's bizarre that this match was decided with a pass. My match plan was certainly very different, I started with seven blodgers on the pitch. And I rolled about 40 armor rolls throughout the match. And what was the result? One. Single. Knock-out. Apparently my 'zons took a liking to the undead and didn't want to hurt them too much.

Thanks to Zeta for playing, it has been an honor. Come back to the pitch soon! :)

I saw one of my replays was missing so i uploaded it. What did you mean with dropbox, because im now keeping a replay of every game I play in the gog league there atm so if you want i dont mind sharing it or something.

What i meant, that almost everyone is using different service to upload their files. Some are links to "personal" permanent dropbox accounts - while some are just temporary uploads to one of the many files uploadservices you can use without any particular account.

-> i dont mind if people want to use any of these, but i would much appreciate it if people could also upload files to the league temp file folder. It saves alot of time and actually replays, when the links dont suddenly go dead/expire.

All the admins should have rights to edit/add/remove files from the current and past seasons "archive" folder. Anyone can download files from there - but only admins have edit rights.

...so if you see replay missing from past/current seasons, you can put that replay to the temp file and give any admin a nudge.
Division 1 has finished its season!

Unfortunately we now have the situation that I kind of tried to prevent when I asked the tiebreaker question in this post from last week. We have two teams with 16 points, and only one of them can reach the play-offs.

It seems, though, that the 'zons are lucky enough to actually win all the tie-breakers that I mentioned. Amaz'n Craze won the direct match against the Deathly Spores, has the better touchdown difference (+5 vs. +1) and scored more touchdowns (15 vs 9). The game itself also put the 'zons on position 4, though that's probably just dumb luck.

I'd still like confirmation from the admins (of course, I'll also accept if the decision goes the other way). Also, I do think we should list the procedure for such situations in the first post, since it will most likely happen again at some point.

The game itself chooses TD difference as a tiebreaker when calculating the final ranking (which happens when the match day ends).

I must have somehow completely over-read that question. Sorry!

Oh! The game is smarter than I thought! :)

No worries. I probably shouldn't have put it at the end of a match report. ;)

So, it seems that the 'zons indeed managed the (almost) impossible and made 6 points good on the Spores in the last two matches, overtaking them on the finish line! Now they'll have the honor to either be crushed by ancient mummies, or shredded by a Chaos team, yay! :)

(Also, sorry to Mystral, who looked like a safe bet for the play-offs throughout the season. The crucial moment was our match against each other, and in that match, Nuffle really had it in for you ...)

Yes well, Nuffle apparently didn't want me to do the playoffs.
I really only needed either 1 point from the last 2 games, or that 1 of the 3 teams right behind me not win both of their last 2 games, and instead suffered 2 crushing defeats with lots of bad luck, while both Khorne teams and your 'zons got 6 points.

Oh well, it's still my best season so far, even if it ends in a bit of a downer.
