Its really a question of SPP or League points.

If we give 1-0 win, it means double MVP and double GP + 3 league points, for the win obviously.

On the other hand, if we make it draw, we can affect the handout SPP by setting specific amount of goals, like 3-3 for example and the player will get only normal win money + MVP. There will be only one league point however.

I think the autowin gives abit more extra oomph than i would like to give...but i would still say that its the lesser evil of the two. Also autowin it what we have decided to do if a player doesnt show up on the game anyway, so it would be in line with that. I would like to avoid doing exceptions, as those tend to snowball later on.

Its unfortunate, but there is no totally fair and balanced way to handle this (thanks cyanide!) - but it that shouldnt be all that surprising in BB?

And thus i would give my vote for the 1-0.

As an outsider to this (since I'm not participating in the league), I would agree that striving for complete fairness in a Blood Bowl league makes sense only up to a certain point.

Sure, players who haven't yet played against the retracted team may end up having a bit of an advantage, or disadvantage, depending on how it's handled exactly.

But you're playing in a league where it's perfectly possible that a team wins several games due to two or three crucial players, then gets those players killed or crippled, and then becomes a much easier opponent for the following teams. You're playing in a league where simple things such as "Do I play this team after their match against Chaos, or after their match against the High Elves?" can very noticeably affect your match. As long as the scheduling doesn't introduce egregious (dis)advantages, which neither of the discussed solutions will do, it's impact will be too small in the end to worry about it. Imho. :)

This game sure was something, fouling, deaths, and even a delicious GFI failure on the touchdown line. in the end though he managed to prevail by using a disgusting and downright immoral strategy called "Passing" as an ogre coach I think such cheap dirty tactics should be banned, and only allowed when it comes to willing (more or less) team mates.

Last night, the amazons played against the Khorne and won 1-0. It was a strange match, with the demons being the dominant team smashing the amazons all over the field. They almost scored during the first half, should they not have fought amongst themselves about who could do the touchdown.

During the second half, the amazons (the few left standing) saw an opening in the Khorne lines and after a splendid pass, the catcher could dodge her guard and make a touchdown. Lacking the numbers, the amazons turned to defense afterwards and were able to hold of the Khorne from making a counter touchdown.

I had just our Norse-Goblins match against Morb and yet again it turned into massacre. I was about to run out of players there, with the silly block-troll piling on my linemen one after another and evil chainsaw gobling niggling my star ulffie. Actually both ulffies got CASed pretty early, which kinda sucked in a big way. Both ulfies + 2 linemen are also going to miss my next match...which also kinda sucks as well, but suppose its part of the experience :)

The game ended 2-2, which involved lots of luck on my side as my norse team got spanked and fouled pretty badly for somehow pulling of those 2 TD's. Morbs got pretty good idea of how to foul with gobbos +1 for that (just dont tell it to my players). Also i dont think his goblins are one bit CAS-stunty :(

Nuffle didnt give me the chance to decide that... also morbs rerolls were flawless. the 300k inducement may have helped a bit too :)

But in reality, his block, injury and foul rolls worked out superb and i ofcourse got the short end thanks to that. my lone berseker getting ko'd in the beginning and both ulffies being cassed hardly helped. since the second half i just had about half a team left while he had full - so with less players and my key str/positional players out it wasnt exactly the situation i wanted to be in..

...it will be rather interesting how i am going to face dodo's team next without the ulffies, no reserve players and three journeymen.. Well, i am hoping nuffle will deliver in the end ^^
