iippo: Well - have to see whats the situation when we finally get to play on round 10 - maybe youll get block to rest of your saurus by then ;)

Rodzaju: I'm just hoping they will all still be alive by then....
lol - dont try to play av7 if youre afraid of str4/av9 getting killed :D

Likelyhood is...somewhat different.

Anyway concerning that "say the person whose all players have block" -comment. The bad thing for me is exactly that i cant properly use block if you get to choose the dice. -> norse dwarfs would be easier for example in that regard - id have clear str advantage - sure dwarfs dont suffer from fragile skinks, but just to make the point.

Sorry, I'm at work & not having a good day, so I'm probably a bit touchy...

lol - no worries, i am also at work and have the usual AutoCAD-anger myself ;)

Anyways, personally i always enjoy challenge and even getting spanked compared to a walk in park. I did always the best in Go-tournaments as well, when i had the chance to play against people who were 3 or 4 ranks above me compared to those who were either on same or even lower level than myself.

Guess I have either (un-)natural underdog complex or am just masochist? :p

Speaking about BB team balance in general - i dont think there are really teams that are clearly superior. Sure the stunty teams are super hard, but the other spectrum isnt so clear cut. TV1000, TV1500 and TV2000 are whole different matters - and ultimately not all that relevant as its just a tiny fraction of teams that even make it anywhere near that high TV.
Is the game worth buying?

Kaldurenik: Is the game worth buying?
Hell yes.
The Single player is good for learning the game & interface, but the real fun is against human opponents.

I wrote elsewhere:
It's a strategy game.
It's a tactical rpg.
It's an action sports sim.
It's "OMG, It's 3am & I'm still at the casino. Lady luck has deserted me. The pit boss is cheating. I'm about to lose my car keys and my suit. I bet I'll get mugged for my underwear on the way home, but I DON'T CARE because it's just TOO DAMN FUN!!!"
I'd say yes, but do buy at a sale or discount. I think Amazon has it ATM for 6$ The Legendary Edition.
Do mind that it's emphasis is on multiplayer and I haven't tried playing vs the AI to tell you how good it is. On the plus side, it has the long forgotten Hot Seat.

As a faithful rendition of the board game it really is an interesting case.

If you have played Blood Bowl before: yes.

If you haven't played Blood Bowl before then you should know that a match can take some time and that the game can be tactically challenging. It's not a "casual" game that can be learned and played in 10 minutes.
If that doesn't deter you, you'll find a wonderful sports game with a sense of humour, a big online community to play against, dozens of different teams to choose from and much more.

From my experience it's also a good game to get your friends and family involved in. Many of my friends now play either the PC game or the table top version, we've got two couples playing in our league and I recently got my little sister to play as well. :D
Where can you buy it for the best price then?

If you know anyone that has it (hint: Anyone here!) they can buy it on steam for £6.99
And how do that work then?

If you own any version of Blood bowl on steam, you can buy Chaos edition for £6.99.
So they buy it as a gift for you....
What terms you arrange are between you & them.
Well i dont own any version :)

Kaldurenik: Well i dont own any version :)
but surely you know someone who does.
I'd help you out, but it's entirely the wrong end of the month for to buy anything!

...waiting for the last day of the month as well :(

Anyways, if anyone has cdkey of original bb, dark elf edition or legendary edition, you can insert that cdkey to cyanides website and buy the latest Chaos edition for 10e (installs in steam). i used to have pile of those, but ive already given to my friends long ago and cant be used twice.
