Practice against a developed Lizard team. It won't have the hypno gaze or thralls to balance the rest out though :P

Dauntless and/or lots of guard.

Well, I had no players with Dauntless and exactly one player with Guard. And that player got a casualty from a thrwn rock before the match even started. ;)

Vamps vs WoodPeckers -> 1-1

Well that was some match.

There were two CAS during the whole game. Catcher(?) with guard one removed on turn1 by rock from the crowd and somewhere on 1st half my vamp got CAS (badly hurt), but regenerated.

I received in the first half and lost 3 thralls to BloodLust - still despite that, lots of Wardancer stripballing and blizzard - i managed to do pretty nice ball steal + pass and run for 1-0 TD, even if i say so myself.

2nd half was painful to me. Bloodlust was kind this time around, but Nuffle not so. Also not my own brain. I lost 2 vampires in the first turn of second half - one i positioned next to sideline -> nicely got the ball from opponents side...and totally forgot that ofcourse you couldnt pass the ball after blitzing - or in this case even move to a better place. so off the pitch he went. Also i lost (again) one vamp to Bloodlust, as he rolled 1' i had like 5 second left time on my turn and despite my hectic clicking on the thrall next to him - the vamp decided it was far better to take a bite from the crowd.

Totally frustraiting - could have avoided both easily enough.

Rest of the second half first started to look decent as i went for the stray ball - but wardancer stripballed my vamp and nuffle decided i had acute lack of 1's. Roughly the 5 or 6 last turns didnt take too long as i promptly run out of rerolls and turns. gfi's and dodge just didnt want to work.

This helped Psyringe to easily stall till the turn15 as i wasnt able to move my players anywhere without tripping.

Other than my spongybrainness and those 1's, it was pretty nice match. especially the first half had lots of interesting positions going on.

ill upload the replay to google drive soon.

(Nurgle take those blodging ball strippers)

The Poll is at 23 atm. Who has forgotten to vote!? :)
just realized that i have 11 thralls. 11! i should really start to learn foul with them as lvl1 thralls are pretty 'gah' in the first place.
Going to be playing Judas in an hour or less. At or around 3:30 am my time. God my hours are messed up.

Aningan: I had a match planned with Pogo for right now. Unfortunately I just talked with NoHit and it seems Pogo is sick and won't be able to play this match day.

Sad to hear about Pogo, but I guess that means I'm in the playoffs.

iippo: just to make 100% sure, i can leave the match result open until the rounds end if youd happen to have chance for reschedule - or i can just set the 'no-show' right away.

post here or pm me over steam.
You can just set it. In a few hours I have to catch a plane to go on a business trip. Will be out of the country and without Blood Bowl until Thursday.
I may have just pulled off the single greatest Halfling play of all time.

The details, give us the details! :)
Nagarythe Decadence played the Wheredemons yesterday and finished the match 4-1 despite the lack of a good luck prediction by the Goblin bookmakers.

Generally speaking the match was much closer than the score would indicate. There were really few moments where I felt safe. If there was one thing that saved me, it was the fact that Mortrek was hit by the "Necro curse" (i.e. his werewolf basically fumbling every pickup it tried) - which is of course a very bad thing with bloody elves in ball-stealing distance.

Having him seen play, his low scorecard is really testament to the high skill level of this league. While there are some things that need improvement, it was a generally solidly played match that made me sweat throughout.

@Mortrek: Sorry about the slow last turn. I was tired and didn't see that none of your players was in scoring distance. So I tried to play it safe.

On my side, I used about half of my re-rolls to fix fumbled 2+ passes. This thrower must have paws or something. And I got another stat upgrade and am currently debating myself on whether a AG 6 elf is just too damn cool to pass up or a waste of a good skill slot :D.

EDIT: Replay here.
