kanarek: To players from Germany: Why the hell is net connection in hotels so crappy and/or expansive?
They want you to watch their own p0rn channels instead of getting the stuff from the Internet, so they curb the traffic. ;)

Joking aside, I think it depends on the hotel and region. Especially many rural areas are still badly connected.
I lost 2-0 to Ghiro.

Replay here.

I have weird feeling from this match. Ghiro was better most match and deserved the win and I never felt like I have upper hand. I was chased and by him and myself all across the field trying to remedy anything that went wrong but there always was something to remedy and not always it succeeded.
Ghiro scored late in first, when ball bounced to his Ogre few turns before it, he managed to pick it up and I, with six remaining players and all strong ones tied by Ogres had no chance to take it from him. My only chance to stop it was with wizard but my fireball aimed at 2 ogres and two snots only knocked down 1 snot.
Then he scored in the very first turn of second half. He was able to position his players due to perfect defence event. Ball went to snotling standing behind Ogre, he picked it, thrown it and with 3 GFI he managed to score on the very same turn.
Nice move and nothing I could do to stop it.
I spent rest of the second half trying to score, but there always was something to prevent it in last moment.
I had 6 re-rolls in second half but I only used 2 or 3 as there wasn't really much moments where I could use it. Maybe I should have tried to change some of those pushed into something better.

All in all not good match for me, but at least there was no lasting injury (Ghiro was more unlucky in this department with fractured arm and pinched nerve) and my skink gained SPP in this match for injuring enemy player. On defense. It was both down result for Ghiro's snot and the snot got injured by it. :-)
My "favourite" moment was when my best skink with sure feet failed 1 GFI and it's reroll as well. I did it at the start of my turn as I took it for guaranteed so I lost whole turn thenks to it.
He is going to train them all time between this and next match.
alright this is odd.

Shadowing + injury = game hang.

so on turn 11, what happened was Rod's saurus blitz my ball carrying blitzer, and managed to successfully injured him. I was offered a prompt if I wanted to use shadowing, which I said no to.

And then, the game hanged.

At this point of time, Rod was winning 1-0, and would most likely win, but hey, blood bowl. Anything can happen. I always play games to completion.

now here comes my dilemma: abandoning the match means that I keep a pinched nerve injury and 2 miss next game.
So i offered to have an admin fix match 2-0 to rod's favor.

And he doesn't want it because he wants to keep the SPP he got from hurting the players.

And it now comes to a battle of technicality! Who can keep their computer + internet going the longest?

..............................

as for the game itself, oh my luck was bad... Had to reroll many dodges, but luckily the rerolls worked. Half ling chefs stole 1 reroll, and 0 reroll the next round. His players hurt my players, but we both expected that.

I had a 5/6 chance to stop Rod from scoring a touchdown on his turn 8, but I rolled a 1 instead. (sighs)

That said, Rod played amazingly well. He knows his team inside out. I was hard pressed to find an opening for my elves and had to rely on 1 dice blocks.

So I got 2 proposals for cases like this that respect the spirit of bloodbowl:

1. The matter is settled in the open league in a halfling vs. halfling match

2. If you don't hav ethe time to play a match, Spin a coin.

That is of course disregarding the most sensible solution and just playing the match again (unless you haven't got time of course.)

The time difference makes this very difficult....
you 2 could have been already in the second half of the second match :P
I have to say that I find the argument for not accepting the offered admined 2-0 victory not very convincing, considering the alternative.

It seems to me that cheongzewei already offered the alternative that was worse for him (admined loss instead of replay), so I don't really understand why it wasn't taken. Letting the game pause until someone loses connection cannot seriously be considered a viable alternative.

...is this like seriously happening? o_O

Seriously guys - if this is the case (i dont want to check), pull the plug and make agreement on either admined-win or replay and lets behave like we were adults.

i'm up for a replay at Rod's 8 pm any day ( afraid can't be later, it would be 3 am at that time for me)

I'm totally fine with spinning the coin as long as it's random .org and I can see it via teamviewer XD.

Have anyone actually played a halfling vs halfling match for cases like this? Lol,

Well, I'm not an admin in this league, but if I were ...

League rules state that the decision of whether or not to do a replay depends on the winner of the match.
The match in question has no winner; waiting until the opponent's connection drops cannot possibly acceptable as a victory.
Therefore, either the two opponents come to an agreement, or the result is an admined 0-0.

Just my opinion, of course.

As I said when we were arranging the match, I will really struggle to kick off before 8:30pm.

I've already annoyed the Mrs by playing this game when I should have been helping the kid's with their homework.
Then it's dinner, bathtime & bedtime.

This is why I said that a replay will be difficult to arrange.

As it stands, I have at least 1 guaranteed level up.
I also feel that it would be unfair to your next opponent if all of your players miraculously recovered from their mng injuries....
.........
Alright? 8:30 pm then. If that's the case.
Rematch then?

This whole "I won't accept any solution unless I get my injured players back" leaves a really bad taste in my mouth.
It is almost out & out cheating.
If this is what this league is becoming, I will not be back for season 3.
