Regarding Season3:
-League length: I am totally fine with this one. :)
-Reboot: I have to admit, I am not for this. I am just glade I have at least a few skills on my team. Thinking about starting at zero again... ... I simply don't know at this point. :/
-Playoffs: as of I won't participating on them. It is up to you to decide that.
-New season: if yome of you need some time of...so be it. :)
-Changes: Please don't forget that this is just a (partly buggy) game and the other lad/girl is a human as well, which just want to have at least some fun as well.
Gave one yay.

WBGhiro: About that, where's the post with the prize pool again?

iippo: ....Psyringe how are we doing? :)
Update post is planned for the weekend. I kinda noticed that the season is about to end. ;)

I want to make a post with direct links to info about the respective games.

As before, if someone has new prizes to add, just post it here, I'll see it. :)

Rodzaju: So probably trying to keep up that kind of schedule, I'm already tired, frustrated, whatever when the game starts, so things seem worse than they are.
I haven't seen your matches, so I can only speak in theory here, but from knowing how Blood Bowl works and (somewhat) how the human mind works, I think these things happen easily.

Blood Bowl has lots of dice rolls throughout the match. It's unlikely (not impossible, but pretty unlikely) that really everything goes wrong (or well) in a match. However, there is too much information for the human mind to process everything, especially during the game, when we have more important things to do than calculating statistics. So we focus our attention selectively. And since there are so many random events in this game, we will always find enough bad results (if we look for them), and we will always find enough good results (if we look for those). In the end, as someone else already said, it's just stochastics and interpretation.

In one of my first games, I had the distinct impression that nothing worked - my AG3 players failed pickups, fumbled passes, etc. And then, suddenly, I noticed that my skill-less players were making half a dozen dodges per turn without ever failing. I just hadn't noticed this before because I kept focusing on the ball handling.
Throwing in my two cents - will take the vote shortly:

- League length: No particular preference or dislike here. I just want to play.

- Reboot: Would be a bit of a bummer for me. My team still feels underdeveloped, I lost a lot of MVP points to star / killed / useless players. I kind of keep telling myself "In one or two weeks, I will finally be able to start playing in the way I envisioned". A reboot would mean that this will never happen for this team, which would be a bit sad. On the other hand, this is Blood Bowl - the game that keeps throwing wrenches in your plans anyway, and starting a new team wouldn't mean that I'd suddenly stop having fun.

Personally, I don't mind playing against stronger teams. In fact, playing against kanarek, pogo_puschel and Ghiro gave me the opportunity to use star players and wizards for the first time ever, and I enjoyed that. The regular Blood Bowl matchmaking system never lets me use these, since it selects opponents based on matching team value.

- Playoffs / New Season: I'm fine either way, but from the prize pool perspective, it would be good if the pause for the players outside of the playoffs won't be too long, since the prizes can only be distributed once the winner is determined (and will then take a while to be distributed as they are picked successively). Side question: Would the league system allow face-offs between the divisions, i.e. matches between equally-ranked players of each division even if they didn't proceed into the playoffs?

Length: I think this one has flowed far better then the first season. That season felt like a grind to me with it's seventeen weeks, where as this has been more enjoyable. Personally, I said this before in S2 discussions, but I like more divisions. I'd like to see four divisions. Shortens the regular season, and could allow for a NFL type playoff structure. Four division winners and two/four top runner ups advance to the payoffs. The faster the seasons, the more everyone can play, the more "history" we build within the league, and I just plain ass like intricate bracket designs.

I am VERY against the idea of "rushing" through the playoffs. To me, placing in the playoffs should be something really important. And if we've got a "lets get it over with" mentality, then it takes away from it. I want to be able to spectate the games and enjoy the pomp & circumstance. Maybe give the Playoffs two weeks to be played, which should be ample time for people who place so high.

Reboot: I voted yes, but I'm more indifferent. I think starting brand new teams for everyone would help spice things up. But at the same time, I can understand "I've invested two seasons into this team and now you're taking it away from me" mentality. But brand new teams may encourage new players? It's a tough one.

New Season: I say we take a week or two off to drum up applicants and help everyone recharge some. That two weeks could be used to play the Playoffs.

As for the prize pool...I think while it's a cool idea, it could become stressful or biased. I say have the admins discuss a variety of "prizes" like, obviously League winner but also more abstract ones based off statistics or just how hard they tried in the league.

I offered a prize for this season, but I'm not really in a position to offer much financially. But I'm willing to contribute what I can.

I myself have/had some grand plans for the vamps that ive yet to reach - but should we reboot S3, my S2 vamp team might return S4.

I know ive said this many times and will probably continue to do so, but no teams will be pemanently banned or deleted in case of reboot.

If our playerbase stays same, 28 players -> four divisions would then have 7 players each, meaning i suppose 6 matches + one free round for everyone?

kinda short in my opinion.

Ofcourse if we really wanted to shake the things, we ofcourse -could- ofcourse make same bigger league structure on paper and then actually do it in form of lot of shorter leagues in-game, with people changing leagues and what not depending on performance.

Would get tricky and would ofcourse take more time..and thought.

I am not going to say outright "Aye" or "Nay" on this one - but if someone think he/she has some grand idea, please do put it on paper post here for communal judgement :)

I know, but I also know myself. By the time I'd have to make the decision to return the wood elves or keep the new team, at the end of the next season, I will have spun stories around and grown attached to the players of the new team, I will have cursed them and applauded them and laughed about them and thrown virtual hard things at them, and it will be as hard to mothball them as it feels to mothball the woodies now. ;)

We'll see. ;) If a reboot takes place, I'll probably take an Undead team, borrow the name of my team in the open league (Good Old Ghouls), and name my players after classic video game characters who will have returned from oblivion to play in this team. After playing a whole season with them (or their successors), would you be able to easily let go of the Super Mario Zombies, Sonic the Skeleton, or Gabriel Wight? ;)
and the 'MericaBowl ends in 2 - 0.

'Twas a fun game. If you tuned in you got to listen to Hawk, Zeta and I have a fun time just chatting. I think the score would have been higher, but my skinks all seemed to think the ball smelled fowl, as they constantly kept throwing the ball back onto the ground.

There were two deaths, one was saved, but unfortunately, Vladimir Pudding was thrown like a javelin directly into the ground, where he still remains, with his little halfling feet sticking into the air.

3 level ups for my team. still no block for my Kroxi :( but all of my Saurus DO have block how, and one even learned how to Tackle.
