Pogopuschel: So what do you peeps think, should I stream my other games too? And if Yes, should I change something?
I already heard that I should switch on the background noises, anything else that bugged anyone?
I have many good points to offer! Things that I would like you to keep doing!
I liked it that:
- you had the grid on
- you showed the dice log
- you had great music
- you zoomed in on the KOed Frax Secret (that's something you don't see every day!)
- you showed the end screen with the MVPs and every thing

The only thing I would have liked to see more is the KO/CAS boxes. It was a bit difficult to keep track of how many elves were out and if you had any players out. Maybe give us a peek every two turns?

Oh, and I don't need the background noises.

Piranjade: What do you use the shift key for? Don't you play with a mouse?
No clue if you can re-configure...
avatar
Psyringe: For testing an action, but not directly performing it. I often shift-click on a tile to see the movement path and check whether there are any tackle zones to cross. Unfortunately, if the shift key doesn't work, the game directly performs the action ...
I have to admit that I still don't completely get what you're doing with the shift button.
Maybe I'm just too tired...

I do a right-click to select where to go and see the path and then a second right-click to perform the action.
And as long as I don't select one of my players the game projects the tackle zones.

But can you chain several actions this way?

Anyway, it's very well possible that I'm just misunderstanding the interface. I'll have to check that next time I dare to enter the pitch. ;)

Yes. For example, I lay a path to the ball by right-clicking, include the pick-up of the ball, add some more steps and finish with a pass. The last action is then an additional (second) right-click on the player the pass will go to, and the whole chain starts.

Ah yes, that I should do. There was one moment when Quälix asked me about the Wardancers, because that topic came up in the Chat, and I showed them in the box in response, but I think you solution would be rather good. I will do so then :)

Regarding the background noises, I can't hear the chatter of Tim and Bob anymore, it is starting to get old rather fast.

In other news: Tomorrow evening at 20:00 UTC+2 (GMT+2) I will play against my husband Quälix. I will stream that game as well. You are welcome to watch the War of Roses ^^ ( Although both our teams don't exactly smell as good)

You can turn them off and just have the game noises. I have Tim and Bob completely turned off and only hear the cries of pain form the players and the drums from the crowd and such.
To get the jump on Week 5, The Armored Seagulls aren't giving Natural Disaster any time to rest.

To the pitch we go in about 45 minutes!

Psyringe: ... until one of Linemen asked "Orgy?", and the other players shrugged and answered "Might as well." ....
Somehow, I would have very much liked to see that ... *sigh* My players just aren't that beautiful. But they are cute nonetheless :P

Well, yours have tentacles. They might not be beautiful, but could come in handy. Also, beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder, and the beholder's that I've seen floating around, look like they might appreciate tentacles. ;)

My players now officially regret that they did not not film the post-match orgy. They would have offered the tape to you, in exchange for burying the match replay. Ah well, missed chances ... ;)

In other news, the post-match activities reinvigorated the fighting spirit of my team, and they will face the Armored Seagulls in less than an hour!

Dinosaurus will play Scarlet Shadows Tomorrow 10pm...

And at the end of week 4, each division only has 1 old team in a playoff spot....

But everyone in the team feels that after three losses in a row, it's high time to celebrate a victory again ...
Hah!
I'm actually getting the impression that the game engine is biased against elves.
Doubly hah !!! :D
Since I have to cut and run, I'll leave a quick one here.

The teams fought to a bitter 1-1 tie. Could've gone either way, so I'll thank Nuffle for the tie and shuffle on to Week 6.

Edit: Psyringe posted the replay.

Yep. :) Both teams had one pretty good drive, both teams had one chance to score another touchdown (but missed).

The players seemed content with the tie as well. For the last few rounds, the players of both teams collectively refused to pick up the ball. (Yes, my Khemri elves again failed pick-ups ... Several.)

Also, I'm happy to announce that the MVP did actually not go to a star player or merc this time. Noo, this time it went to the player who also was reduced to AV 6 during the game ...

Replay uploaded here.

Am I the only one that thinks that Break Stuff is a good song to use on Blood Bowl?
BTW I think that I'm improving with the Wheredemons.
Now that I've got some time to post a bit more, I'm going to do so.

This game was certainly not our best tactically, but the pendulum swung just enough the opposite way get us a very critical tie moving forward this season.

As effective as our Ogre was in its first game, it was brutally ineffective for its sophomore effort. A 3-dice roll against an elf to turn into two Attacker Downs and a Both Down wasn't great. Neither was Loner triggering on said roll. His later double Attacker Down was equally unimpressive. His Badly Hurt injury was probably the best thing that could have happened to him after that. No Apo for it either.

I'd spent a while trying to study and beat the Wood Elf team. But alas, their patented Elven Shenanigans™ managed to befuddle me again. Factoring AG4 is not an easy thing to do, and the potentiality of a one or two-turn TD is not remote by many measures. Tactically speaking, I wasn't solid enough to stop them, but got just enough to eke the tie.

That last cycle of turns was one of the most nerve-wracking turns of events I've been through in a game. When our Blitzer was knocked out of the game, I thought that the game had fallen away from us at that point. But the pendulum of Nuffle swung back and was able to grace both of our teams with an inability to pick up the ball and his dodging became far less frequent.

Tough game from Psyringe all the way around. Could have ended better for us. Could've also ended a lot worse, too.

On the flip side, 3 level-ups for regular skills (on the thrower, lineman and blitzer) and no major injuries means our team moves on to Week 6 only having sustained one bad injury. Our injured lineman Warner Tuccan is returning to the team for the match against Red Lantern. He'll stick around unless he sustains another bad injury.
