I'm tired of seeing these stupid fucking cartoon games for Linux! When are we going to see Linux's "Skyrim" or "Fallout" or "Witcher"? Fuck!

The Witcher 3 works flawlessly with Steam Proton, maybe even with regular Wine after some tinkering. The Witcher 1 and 2 both have native Linux-support. I'm playing Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition natively on Linux as we speak. Pillars of Eternity and Tyranny also have native support.

Skyrim also works with Steam Proton. So does Fallout: New Vegas.

So what was your problem again?

out of interest (aside from presumably being somewhat automated through the client somehow?) what advantages does proton on steam have over wine / play on linux etc for the non-penguined among us?

OK, thanks. Just thought I missed something. It's worked very well on plain wine for years, as well. As have about 280 more of my "Windows" DRM-free gog games. Still a slightly over 10% failure rate, though, so one shouldn't rely on wine. Then again, I've got an over 5% failure rate for Linux-native games, as well. That's what I get for not meeting any system requirements.

Also, I like cartoony games.
