Current ranking of the Playstation PC ports released on GoG thus far, by all-time sales (gog.com/games?order=desc:bestselling)

Horizon Zero Dawn (GoG release: 24-11-2020): Page 6, 249th Place
Days Gone (GoG release: 25-10-2023): Page 43, 2059th Place
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection (GoG release: 21-11-2023): Page 63, 3006th Place

Assuming that the drop-off in sales figures from the first page with the couple-million-sellers isn't too steep and declines in a steady manner the further back in the all-time bestsellers list you go, they're not doing that bad, all things (delayed [by years] releases, the later Uncharted installments being the less demanded ones, people's patience running out due to no specific release dates, etc) considered.

At this point everything is just speculation. For example someone mentioned Sony may want a better deal but if that is true then why the game was set as coming soon if they havent made that deal yet? For me this does not make any sense - hey we don't have a deal yet but you set the page ready which is Sony job. I doubt they would do that if the deal wasnt done before that. Maybe it was just initially planned to come much later. We will never know I guess. As for Uncharted sales being low - they are low even on Steam compared to all other their games. And the fact they release it here much later than Steam does not help.

It's almost as if releasing only the concluding chapter of the series on PC made absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Memecchi: it's a bit silly, people interested in GoW don't necessarily want to buy every Sony title
That's the arrogance of Sony, the company has fostered a console fanbase full of ravenous, cheerleading consumers that support anything and everything as long as it's an exclusive, and they probably still think the PC userbase will support them the same way. This is why I too think the delay is likely down to Sony expecting a sales threshold on previous releases before they will allow GOG to sell GoW. It's honestly pathetic if that's the case.

My initial hopes for Rift Apart and Spider-Man 1 hitting GOG are really starting to wane.

You know what makes it even sadder? Naughty Dog's official reasoning for not porting the original trilogy is that the games are "Too visually dated to warrant a PC port".

Side-question: how did you get this info easily?

LOL. PC, the one platform where that can easily be fixed.
As long as the game is good and plays well, who cares if it's "visually dated"? Graphics aren't everything.

tfishell: Last I knew, around early-mid Jan I think(?) Clownski said on the GOG fan Discord that there were some legal hiccups, so unfortunately it might take a bit longer. (I don't have a source handy though.)

Braggadar: ^ This.

Contractual hold-ups, but the team was/is working hard to get it here as soon as they can.

That was Jan 20th.
Perhaps Sony would be satisfied by a 10% cut only, but to GoG this is not necessarily a option... just some guessing here. Any other reason makes no sense to me... given the circumstances.

Just no clue why it has been stated as "coming soon" if, in fact, the contract has not been set.

Whats clear: If a game is released years after the other PC platforms, obviously the GoG version is lacking "some wind" in order to get the boat moving. Horizon Forbidden West with a rather "quick release" was selling much better, so people are willing to wait... but not for to long.

Who was setting up the "coming soon page"? Good question...

I am somehow not satisfied with the low Days Gone°° sales... a game that should deserve more buyers, i got it too. With Uncharted i do unfortunately understand the issue... people want a complete series.

°°Although it was weak "performing" on the other platforms too... which is a myth to me because it is a wonderful game with a great atmosphere. For some reason it just did not hit the majorities taste.

Maybe Sony is worried someone will create a mod that will make the game look even better than God of War...
Yes, indeed... graphics is not a big matter on PC, but no one could fix a lack of art count or gameplay.
Not believing me? This is what happened with the "dated" Skyrim: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSi2sIV8l48

Hurricane0440: Some users did mention it would be coming shortly after the Winter Sale, in January or at least by February (this month).

Well, it seems like we've almost passed those speculated dates and it still hasn't been released.
"Speculated" is the key word here.

Just because "some users" "speculated" it would get released at a certain date, doesn't make it so.

Yup, that's how they operate alright, and sadly I know this firsthand because I fell into the console wars rabbit hole when I was younger, you have to support [brand] and buy every first party game!

One thing is for certain, GOG clearly expected the game to be released already
Those fans sounds just as self centered such as "a companies will of making coins"... because if they are TRULY trying to support Sony, they would buy the game a second time at least... unless they do not own any PC, which is nowadays a rare thing.

To the PC only buyers: If you want to get those "exclusives" then buying is the best thing to do... if not... obviously it does not matter.

>facepalm< Seriously? Yeah, because there's no market for waaay older console games. It's no like people are emulating PS1 and 2 games. And the Uncharted Trilogy from PS4 still looks damn good to boot.

Just to be clear, Clownski did basically write the first sentence (before the comma) on the Discord, then some time later mentioned the legal holdup.
What even is the next big sale coming up? I can't remember, does GOG do a Spring Break thing?
