So, what are some cheats you used often?
I'm hoping everyone at least knows what two games the topic is referring to :) With all campaigns completed, playing around with cheats was a way for me to squeeze the last few drops of enjoyment out of the games before resuming the long boring wait to get my hands on a new game. Perhaps that's why cheats were so popular back then?

:(( I don't, or at least I can't figure it out wight now. But I'll always remember LIM for Wolfenstein and the Konami Code. Contra and Super C were my goto games before moving to PC.

EDIT: Google says it's the Mayweather v Pacquiao boxing fight. :))

Now that you mentined the Mayweather v Pacquiao fight, I'll also never forget "power overwhelming" from Starcraft. ;)

I actually used to cheat at Warcraft games a lot. I was never very good at RTS games, and as a kid I lacked patience to replay missions from scratch when it was obvious I screwed up beyond repair. And even later, it was often just more fun to make and command huge armies and progress with the story than muck about with resource gathering and management.

If I'm to be totally, embarassingly honest - I cheated my way through the final mission of Warcraft III. Pretty much as soon as I saw that I'm supposed to manage three different bases at the same time I was like "You want me to do what? Oh screw this, I just want to see how it ends!"

I don't use cheat codes much, never have.
I tend to only use them to skip things I've done a hundred times before, like spawning some tools in Minecraft.
Encountering some faulty AI though, that I do use.

I use them all the time, even in new games, if they're available. Most often to either remove weight restrictions or to respec characters if I find out I've screwed one up.

For games that have crafting but force you to go through hours of boring grinding for ingredients, I'll use cheats to spawn them in if I feel like crafting.

What two games? Now I need to know!

Yeah, cheats. I used them often as a kid, but then I somehow found challenge enthralling so I stopped. I use walkthroughs sometimes if I am stuck in Ultima or something.

Haha no kidding, I thought you were joking. But no, as was perhaps hinted by Breja it's from Warcraft. The cheatcode for resources in WC2 and WC1 respectively

Lol, that's not too bad, it is a bloody difficult level :) But I will have to brag I'm afraid >:D After all, what else am I supposed to with the knowledge that I managed to beat that blasted level on hard! Not that my subsequent pride was long lived however: not long after I saw a video of some dude that managed to beat the level by actually killing Archimonde! - (I'm entirely too lazy to analyze the video to see if cheating / lower difficulty was involved though)
