I just got a response from support about giveaways not indicating that the item is already owned, and basically it's not something they're going to fix. Particularly frustrating in the cases of bundles like this one, where you don't even get a gift code going about it the normal route.
I feel your pain. I've had a bundle of games go on giveaway after I'd finally bought all of them, and others went on sale with significant price drops before I even had a chance to play them.

you could get a gift code owning the bundle already - since before or after having reclaimed it for free a first time, and putting the bundle in the cart from the game page, and proceeding to make the free purchase. But the key was only in the page and not in the email so mine are gone and now I think it can't be done anymore - clearly it wasn't their intention to give them in the first place. It seems to me that the "bug" (more like an unintended exploit) was getting a key from the free purchase in the post-purchase page, rahter then reclaiming the game from the home page like they expected :) At least this is my impression.

Me too, maybe because I owned te games already. But other people got different results. Anyway I reclaimed the bundle from the homepage, then from the bundle game page I put the bundle in the cart and when I bought it I got keys in the browser. But when I checked the emails they didn't contain the keys. Oh, well.
